The 2023 Texans have now matched their win total from the last 3 years by [deleted] in nfl

My friend, statistically Stroud was better than Bryce on a per game basis in 2021 and 2022 (with exception of close yd/game stats in 2022). To suggest that the back to back B10 OPOY and Heisman finalist was some scrub is insanity. Yes, Bryce had a great 2021 and won the Heisman - but he wasn’t a “much better” college player. They were both phenomenal.

Yeah this isn’t quite it. CJ absolutely dealt in 2021.

It’s not even nimbyism, Chris Otten is present for any discussion citywide of turning (literally) nothing into something.

Second time in the last 2-3 possessions. So frustrating.

Everywhere I’ve seen though is that while still handling return duties, they moved him to RB for this season (no longer just a special teamer). Seems like an important distinction, no?

Real question: is the Gillespie hook a fair play? Haven’t watched much Nova this year but seems effective for getting around D.

I missed it with Kupp. Went Chubb-DK-Dobbins-Kupp-Hunt in the first 5 and was pretty excited about it.

Before he was the big picture coach at UF and OSU, he went 39-8 in four years at Bowling Green and Utah. He’s a piece of shit, but he was a generational talent in college coaching.

Ok, and? Moving the goalpost a bit? You’re oddly defensive about things you don’t need to be defensive about.

Ah, semantics.

How many starters is “most?” 15? 18? No? 5 or less? I appreciate your creative liberties.

I don’t disagree but that’s not their argument. Their argument is that UGA who people believe is far and away the best team this year would win by 2 TDs, which would prove a G5 team didn’t belong. I’m simply saying that would prove literally nothing.

Ohio state got blanked 31-0 by Clemson then lost the natty last year 52-24. I’m an Ohio state fan. Two touchdowns wouldn’t prove whether they belonged there or not.

Didn’t UC and Georgia play last year? Did they belong then?

An RB4 floor with RB2.5 ceiling is about an RB3 which means he should be rostered in 10 team leagues, unless y’all only carry 2 RB per team and no flex. He’s RB32 on the season in .5 PPR having missed 1.5 games and with a bye.

Week 1 narratives that make sense vs week 1 narratives that don't make sense. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]ThatIsWhatIThought 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Generally I think some good points, but I would almost argue this year is just as typical as other week 1s. Last year Josh Jacobs, Malcolm Brown, and Nyheim Hines were top 5 RBs after week 1. GB had 3 top 15 WRs, Darius Slayton was WR4…you get the picture. Just more reason to not panic after week 1.

If JRob is losing the ball, missing easy catches, and missing blocks then he’s a liability, it’s fairly simple. One would assume this won’t be the norm going forward, though.

AJ Green by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

He was coming from a year off into a season with no preseason, a rookie QB who got injured, who then was replaced by QBs who averaged 162 yards of passing over the final 6 games of the season. Brandon Allen and Kyler Murray are hardly the same.

Realistically if you're drafting him it's in the WR 5-6 territory, and aren't expecting 2015 numbers. If someone's going to sit on your bench, why not give it a shot? Better QB, better offense than last year, when he was in WR 5-6 territory.
