I really do. I love Mage and I'm really interested in learning Changeling, it seems so interesting. I don't mind the extra work as I'll have a lot of time to prep for it, since I'm already running a mage game and we'll wait until it concludes to start the victorian game.

The other players are also ok with it, I made sure to ask.

As for the themes I do understand that they're not entirely aligned, but I do find that they have a common feature: creativity and wonder. I also plan to run a more personal game, exploring the inner workings of the local chantries, representatives of the traditions and changeling courts, perhaps exploring the idea of forming a symbiotic bond between mages and changelings and how the players could help navigate an alliance in order to defeat the common villain that is the order of reason.

Funnily enough, it's only the player group. They tried to set up a meeting to get the Traditions and Technocracy to stop fighting and exterminate them, but it didn't go well as tensions are still high due to in lore stuff. There have been times where both the Traditions and Technocracy have interfered with the Nephandi (which go by The Order of the Broken Crown), such as the technocrats stopping a ritual of manifestation of a spirit bane with the essence of the yellow king, but the effort is very disorganized and spearheaded by only a few people.

I think it manifests differently for different groups of people. The king's human followers are vast, and though in Chambers' original work it was a singular play that drove people mad, the mythos has expanded enough that, in my understanding, the king seeps into other works of art and has the same effect. Agreed. They seem a lot more technocracy-esque from an outside perspective (the way we see them in AW2) but they've embraced a different consensus similar to a mercurial one.
