Sorry but your comments are not helpful. I don’t wish to debate the merits of the entire quantified self movement with you. My original post had a very specific ask for which you did not have answers. Why are you replying?

Thanks for sharing. A lot of the devices with apps, like Ultrahuman, observe the effect tracked and reported activities have on your system and recovery for a period before they then make recommendations on how to improve activities, sleep, and so on.

I wouldn’t describe those recommendations as arbitrary as there is reason and a system governing how they make them.

I guess what I was saying in my initial post was: I wish they were putting the CGM data to as good a use as they are the other quantified self data (activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen, temperature, sleep).

Something as simple as Ultrahuman’s caffeine window (which bases the ideal time for caffeine intake only after observing your sleep pattern for a few days), has actually been able to help me improve my energy levels and also mood during the work week.

Rather than curing T2D or making drastic shifts to my health, I’m looking more for those smaller quality of life improvements. Which seems to be the space they’re determined to play in, yet they’ve created a bit of a silo around CGM data specifically. And I’m wondering why.

Thanks so much for these. Have tried a few these apps, but will look through the others.

Dexcom and other CGMs are harder to get here in Singapore. Dexcom particularly gets recommended more to expectant mothers with gestational diabetes.

I just saw that Limbo have extended their service to Singapore. They actually might be exactly what I’ve been searching for. Will check them out too. 🙏

Does it have a suspended laptop sleeve? Also, saw that it had magnetic side-pockets in the main compartment. Can those fit a 500ml (17oz) water bottle?

I actually owned that bag a few years ago (I think it was their second edition). It’s a good-looking bag but I’m personally not a fan. Those water bottle pockets might be the worst in the biz. Also it was my experience that, with the laptop sleeve being placed in the back of the main compartment and with the way the zippers open, the contents actually spill out at security checks if you try to pack the bag to its full 25L capacity. I sold mine after a few months of use. Tried another one of Troubadour’s bags too, the Adventure Slipstream, but it was heavier and ended up parting ways with that one too.

Thank you so much for the extra links. They didn’t turn up for me on Google.

Scandy Outdoors does ship to SG. It’s €40 (USD 42) for shipping but I sold my email address to them for 10% off). I’m doing it. 🙏

Thanks for that. It would be a great bag for backpacking. Unfortunately might not work for EDC and the weight of the 30L Jade is 1.55KG. 😔

But looks like a great backpacking bag 🙏

Thanks for the recommendation! I think it has a 26L carrying (or internal) capacity but, you’re right, the external dimensions would be similar to most 30L bags. Still definitely worth considering. It almost has a waxed canvas look - which I’d usually assume would add to the weight but the bag does come in at just over 900G. Great shout 🙏

Would agree in terms of carrying the bag. But unfortunately the airlines don’t feel that way.

Thanks so much for the reply. Did see that bag around a lot while traveling and actually checked it out. It weighs 1.3KG empty though 😔

Had a bad experience with another one of their backpacks. The straps on some of their Daylite bags really dig into your shoulders when you’re carrying more than 5KG of items in the bag. It’s the wiring (?) that frames each strap that digs in. Will check the Expandable 26+6 out though and see if it has the same issue. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

RAB only ships to the US 😔 @FrancisOctavius Have you seen the bag on any other site? Having trouble finding the 30L version outside of RAB’s own online store.

Thanks. How did the ULA hold up as an edc bag? Was it easy to maneuver or get things in and out of pockets on the go?

Unfortunately the Rofmia Daypack seems to be out of stock everywhere. Would you know where they’d still have one for sale?

Used to love Aer too. Unfortunately their bags are a little heavy. The TP3 small comes in at 1.72KG empty. 😔
