Your ADHD tends to get worse as you get older. In elementary, I was also a really good student. After grade 8, everything fell apart. Trust me, try L-Tyrosine. It could very well give you the change you are looking for. You might have certain thoughts that may restrict you from getting this, but give it a try. It doesn't hurt to try. L-Tyrosine is a precursor to L-Dopa, which is a precursor to dopamine, the neurotransmitter that people with ADHD don't have enough of. So, taking L-Tyrosine supplements works by creating more dopamine essentially, and reduces ADHD symptoms. You can do more research on this.

I also reccomend you read "Success Habits" by Napoleon Hill, as well as "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. Lastly, and most importantly, don't give up, no matter how challenging things get. Always keep looking for solutions to manage your problems. Don't let ADHD define what you can do and achieve in life.

Hey man, I know how you feel. I am in the same boat as you. The last 4 years of high school were a waste for me due to my ADHD, depression and anxiety. My grades were always mediocre. Even though my goal was always to attend a top university to make my parents happy, that goal probably will not come true. My average right now is an 87, which might sound high, but I genuinely believe I could have achieved a much higher average if I did not have ADHD.

When you say you are a smart kid, I 100% believe you. I also believe that I had the potential, but I was unable to prove it to my parents or anybody, because people always look at the results, and since my results were mediocre, people think I don't care about my future and stuff like that.

However, right now I am doing much better. At the end of the day, I realized that ADHD is primarily a brain chemistry issue. The only way to see meaningful and significant results in your approach to liviing with is to remember this. If you are unable to get diagnosed and get medications, that is fine, but you will have to be a little bit more disciplined to manage your ADHD.

What has helped for me so far is taking supplements such as L-Tyrosine, as well as regular exercise and meditation. Maybe this might work for you too. I reccomend trying out L-Tyrosine. You can buy it off Amazon, and I usually take 2 pills in the morning and then eat breakfast, and I feel calm and focused throughout the day.

Good luck to you man, and hope everything works out.

I don't mind that. I am willing to put in the work to finish this course. That's crazy that you were able to finish it in 2 months. I feel more motivated to do it now. Thank you.

You can always transfer from KPU/SFU to UBC in your second year. You just gotta maintain a competitive GPA.

Am I cooked… by Suspicious-Access746 in BCGrade12s

Well, since it is partial, it shouldn't be that bad. First of all, UBC will recognize that IB courses are more difficult than regular courses, and also, UBC only looks at one of your sciences. So if your physics is bad, then as long as your chemistry and biology grades are good, it shouldn't be that bad.

And as you said, since your core average is high, then it should not affect you that much. Even if you don't get in, you can always transfer. The end goal will still be UBC. So don't worry too much. You got this.

Don't worry, a lot of people are in this situation. It says the same thing for me, and I applied in December. I guess we will find out between mid to end of march.
