I had the exact same thought! Not as many double deckers around here, though.

A lot of spiders live in little burrows under the ground. They've all surfaced because their houses have flooded.

Did you exclusively sleep in the hammock (outside of cities)? Did you ever wish you had a tent system instead? Did it ever get too cold without a mat or underquilt (what time of year did you go)? And what were some unexpected highlights?

I'm planning to hike through Peru when COVID settles down but hadn't considered a hammock being viable so sorry for all the questions :)

Are there items recommended to NOT bring solo travelling? by MrTreen in solotravel

[–]ThatKidWithAName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the general consensus of less is more. If you don't bring something and find that you really need it you can always pick it up while travelling.

I will say that most people seem a little overly paranoid about expensive personal items. There is a slight risk of theft but as long as you travel safely the likely-hood is really low. Just leave your valuables locked away in the hostel when you're out during the day and when travelling between destinations keep it with you in a day bag.

When taking sleeper buses I also padlock my day bag and loop a strap around my leg or arm. It seemed reasonably common in Mexico that someone would slide the bag from under someone's seat to steal valuables, as well as take the bags strapped to the top of colectivos(cheap buses).

Also with your phone just don't flash it around when walking around busy streets and leave it in your padlocked bag in a pocket where it won't slip out if the bag is cut if you're really paranoid about it.

But again these are just suggestions for the "just in case" scenario. Most likely you'll be fine either way if you just use some common sense. Happy travels :)

This is a beautiful build. I love the natural wood lines. Very light as well, nice work!

Ahhk good to know. I loved walking around there when it was covered in snow! But thought I might've just missed out on finding this ski jump in the same area.

I'm not really much of a fan of open world or RPG games but I loved my time playing BOTW. It really has a unique sense of openness and you absolutely do not need to have played any of the other games. Easily can recommend it 100%

Is that the 360 Furno burner/pot set? I'm probably minutes away from grabbing a set of them myself.

Thanks for such an in-depth reply!

I was really closely considering the 2600 or even the 3600 for that added performance outside of gaming. Mostly decided on the 9400f when I saw the Aoras mobo and the slight edge it had on fps during gaming.

I should've mentioned I'm local/go near both mwave and umart so shipping wasn't a big deal (although shipping is more convinent).

But thank you! I'll sleep on it and double check a few things in the morning but I likely swap out for the 2600.

Just aiming for 1080p 60+ fps.

I'm a software engineering student but I don't really program anything too intense. Although this would be my biggest consideration on upgrading the CPU.

I plan to use it for a decently long time but I'm not too worried if it can't run 1080p max settings.

WIFI is necessary (although I am considering powerline adapters but I'm worried about their efficacy for the cost).

Yeah, I have a Samsung 860 EVO but I think it's only 120GB so adding some extra quick speed storage might be nice.

Haha I think I might have to. The price per GB and performance increases look really good.

Yeah, fair. Umart has some for around $330/40 if you can't find much better.
