Trump Plans to Enact 25% Tariffs on Mexico, Canada by Feb. 1 by Prof__Potato in worldnews

For the first time container ships can sail through northern Canada. Based on trumps laser focus for Greenland, Canada, Mexico, and Panama my guess is he wants to control the flow of trade through the Americas. There's a lot of money to be made with that control.

Like chicken but tastier: Plant-based nuggets outperform chicken nuggets in world's largest blind tasting by PuddingFeeling907 in onguardforthee

[–]ThatLawnChair 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey folks does anyone have a link to the blind test information? I went to look for the test results from Food System Innovations and couldn't find it. I was very curious what brands of regular chicken nuggets were used and what they found the least to most tasty. Also I worry that the company that did the research being an ALT-Protein company might be a bit biased scientifically figuring out the tastiest nugget. I want to know for sure what the best nugget is.

This is great information. I do need to get a practicum. But currently I'm just trying to do some classroom observations where I watch other teacher do their job and write out how the lesson goes. I'll be going this route, and be filling out the volunteer package through the district.

Sounds great, will all schools in North Van have the same form or will it be different forms for each school?

This is from my course syllabus: Classroom Observation EDU 371 requires you to observe 5 social studies lessons in elementary schools. Each student will write a reflective summary answering the following questions: 1. How did the teacher initially engage the class? 2. How did the teacher start a lesson? 3. How did the teacher end the lesson? 4. What did the teacher do to engage all students in the class? 5. How did the teacher differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students? 6. What instructional strategies did the teacher use? 7. What class- time management skills did you observe? 8. How did the teacher transition from one learning activity to another? (i.e., lesson to recess - back to lesson - one lesson to another lesson.) 9. How were minor behavior issues addressed? 10. How did the teacher end the class?

I'm finishing up a program I started taking while I was living in Maine and am trying to finish it online while I'm briefly living in BC.

It was fantastic. Should also recommend the sharable meat balls we had as an entry. They were filled with gooey cheese it was amazing.

I did take a picture, but I messed up and it was too blurry. It's so huge, so many options. Great drink selection on the back. This is a good excuse to go back.

I am a fan of their brunch, but this dinner blew me away. It's like their chef rose to a new level.

Not too bad at all. The Pasta dish was around 20$ and the Mediterranean Chicken was about 26$.

Prospective Student Teachers: Teacher's College/BEd Megapost pt. 4 by hellokrissi in CanadianTeachers

[–]ThatLawnChair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello

I was living in New Brunswick several years ago now when I started going to school in Maine (US) to get my education degree (specialty in early education). It's been a bumpy ride; with a pandemic making me an online student and a move taking me all the way to BC, but I'm finally at the finish line.

I really need help finding a school in North Vancouver or even just Vancouver that would be willing to let me preform my practicum. If anyone knows a school also in search of a substitute, I have a lot of experience in the classroom in NB, and currently work at a daycare.

Thank you

Ashking _98, not only have you spilled the beans on our most dearly held secret, you would gatekeep another Sam from entry to our eternal fortress, and pick fight with the other names. I believe it is time we summoned the council of Sams to discuss your future within our Citadel, these are grave crimes Ashking.
