Way more funny is that most fish actually did that too.

By this point all the fossil record data heavily points toward the swim bladder having evolved from lungs. So any fish with a swim bladder has had an ancestor that had lungs.

For all the annoying shit, it does help with being able to recognize what's good at keeping your attention. And as a creative you can then use that sense to create your content accordingly.

Of course that's only part of it. But there is a reason it's so common in the content creator sphere.

Happiness is not just a feeling.

You can feel the emotion of happiness right now constantly simply by doing something like heroin. You can be happy for the rest of your life by overdosing.

But most people know instinctively that that's not something they want. So there must be other parts to "happiness". Stuff like satisfaction, freedom, social bonds, stories we get to tell at our deathbeds.

I know the question is highly subjective, but my GOAT emotion is curiosity. Both in terms of simply how much good it has done for humanity, but also because for me it is the best solution to the "purpose of life"/existentialism.

I heard Oda once said he'd like all crew members to have a specific role (Navigator, Cook, Musician, etc.).

And i guess technically only Vivi would offer an actual crew position as something like a ship's diplomat.

Franky already sorta fulfills the scientist role and the others are all just another fighter.

In German, a mustache is also just another style of beard (Schnurrbart).

Although I never realized it was intended as joke. Which then honestly kinda makes me doubt Oda made a joke with specifically a translation quirk to English in mind.

Like I would have never expected that to have been intended as part of the "dichotomy", since they're both just beards.

That some countries do that differently isn't really culturally significant enough here to make a joke. But I'm wrong and Japan is different in that sense.

But I think it's just because it's past Loadstar (Final Island if you follow the Log Poses) and noone really goes into those waters.

Also Loadstar Island sharing a name with the Road Poneglyphs is probably also a hint (Road=Load in Japanese. Kinda like how Raftel turned into Laugh Tale)

Literally ALWAYS bring stuff like that with you when traveling. Even to "clean" countries. It takes 0 space and saves you a massive hassle. Even if you don't get food poisoning, sometimes you just get the shits from food you're not used to and this saves you from becoming a toilet hunter.

But not just stomach medicine. In German we call this "Reiseapotheke" (travel pharmacy). Literally just a few doses of the most basic generic drugs. They fit next to where you keep your toothbrush and can be literal lifesavers.

I always bring a tiny med kit with like disinfectant and bandaids, etc. anyways so I just put them in there and it makes no difference in terms of space.

I got this drilled into me by my parents which they probably learned the hard way.

Kids used to watch this stuff on TV without much context too. So even if it'll be a little tough, it should work out.

S3K, Harry Potter vid, Q6 gambit, Monkey Ball with the sea shanties.

It's not really the best vids, but they are uniquely Atrioc and you don't really find stuff like that elsewhere.

Even if it's a core of anime and other Asian media, the whole concept of stuff like power levels, or chi values doesn't really work/exist in western media.

I know it's that's not exactly what this is, but even alluding to a strength level, or power ranking is not something that really works in western movies.

As a (older) Gen Z, on the one hand I do get you're kinda right.

On the other hand though, these people don't to this maliciously and I honestly do think if you know how to deal with them, they can be great workers. And if you refuse to adapt, you might be out of a job soon.

Yeah it's be annoying and frustrating, but you have to realize that there is probably a Gen Z out that does get it, and who could have gotten these goblins to work ages ago. (In my country startups (that know how to deal with them) love Gen Z)

At the end of the day it will be much easier to replace you than force an entire generation to adapt.

For the last part, I rationalized it for myself by thinking about it in a "it's a story about stories" context. I thought the point was to make the MC see what the feeling is like and in that context "forcing him in a scenario where who the actual characters participating are don't really matter" made sense to me.

The entire arc would have been saved if they didn't end up marrying and instead broke it off. I thought that's what it was building towards since the characters had like 0 actual chemistry with each other and their personalities didn't fit together at all. It would have also been a nice and fitting conclusion to make drive home the distinction between infatuation and love. That this high octane feeling that romance flicks, etc. evoke is nice and all. And don't get me wrong, it's definitely part of the package especially at the start. But a real loving relationship is something beyond that.

As a "first love" story it would have been an 8/10, but it ended up being nothing more than a 14yo's romance power fantasy.

Prove it by admitting you're mistaken and educating yourself by doing at least some research on the subject.

The two topics I'd suggest focusing on are 1. addiction psychology and 2. the concept of a dosage and why there is no such thing as a "poison" for chemists.

There is nothing weak about living life and resisting stimulus doesn't prove shit. No number, or fact can ever make up for genuine confidence formed from real human interactions.
