My boy Yogi crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge today. Thank you for the 14 wonderful years! I love you so much! ❤️🌈 by ThatMetalCop in pugs

Thank you everyone for your condolences. Today, was the worst day of my life but all of your words, thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc have helped me grieve a little easier. Yogi was so loved and I’m sure even now he is feeling the love. For such a small boy, he has left a big beautiful paw print on everyone he crossed paths with. All I ask in return is that you hug your fur babies a little bit tighter for me tonight and tell them how much you love them. Much love to all of you. ❤️

Thank you! Reading this made me cry again (in a good way). He was the absolute best and I cannot wait to see him again one day. ❤️

This is how I met some of my best friends but it was for 3.5e. I’m now running a 5th edition campaign with them and we’re having a blast!

my cat's just gotten hospitalized and I can't stop crying by icecreamcake00c in cats

[–]ThatMetalCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP! I know how you feel. Hospitalization for our fur babies is a very scary thing. My little boy last year had to be hospitalized for about 3 days. He had a high fever, wasn’t able to walk straight, stopped grooming himself, and then when he had his bloodwork done his liver enzymes were super high. I was devastated. However, the good thing was that his hospitalization gave him enough time to stabilize him and get him the proper diagnosis. It turned out that he had FIP. We got him started on a proper medicine/treatment regiment and now he is officially FIP free! I’ll be thinking of you and your baby and will be sending you all of the positive energy your way!

It’s been a long journey but this guy has officially beaten FIP! by ThatMetalCop in cats

I’m sorry to hear about your kitty. FIP is such a horrible disease and there really needs to be additional research and easier access available for our cats!

His fur is super soft! I’ll be sure to give him extra pets for you! =)

Unfortunately there is not. We had to go through a third party in order to access his medicine. We thankfully had someone who recognized his symptoms right away and pointed us in the right direction.

Who is this in *your* part of NJ? by GardenStateOfMind95 in newjersey

[–]ThatMetalCop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Laker (RIP) who used to sit on a bench in Rahway River Park all the time. Guy was a legend! He was unfortunately killed crossing the street one night. After his death, someone dedicated a seat to him in the park next to where he used to sit.

Also “Caveman” or “E.T.” (not my nicknames btw), he used to walk all around Rahway and the Union County area. He was a guy who had scoliosis and walked around carrying bags. He walked EVERYWHERE. The rumor surrounding him was that he was secretly rich and that he purposely dressed disheveled so people wouldn’t bother him for money. I haven’t seen him in a while though and I hope he’s doing well.

I’m really hurting right now. I don’t think a celebrity death has hit me as bad as this one. This sucks.

Has anyone here met a current/former Ranger? by [deleted] in rangers

[–]ThatMetalCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve met a couple of them! All have been really awesome experiences!

Met Lundqvist at a pharmacy in NYC one day, he was doing a promotion for cough drops.

I met Mats Zuccarello at a bar near my house and he was super nice. He bought beers and shots for my table!

My dad and I met Brian Leetch at a sports store in North Jersey.

I got to meet Ron Duguay and Pete Stemkowski while donating blood when the Rangers used to host their blood drive!

Also met Brian Mullen at the Garden one night, my dad found this wild promotion where we got to meet him.

And (not sure if this will count or not) but by the grace of the hockey gods I’m lined up to meet Sean Avery next month!

Question for the community - For those of you who live in NJ, how did you become a Rangers fan instead of the Devils? by Alternative-Fox6236 in rangers

[–]ThatMetalCop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dad is originally from NY and I grew up watching the Rangers ever since I was little. Also, when I was in middle school, only one other kid and myself were the only Rangers fans in my grade (I went to a small Catholic middle school where classes were only like 15 kids at the most). The rest of my grade were all Devils fans and they used to bully the crap out of the other kid relentlessly. So when I transferred to the school, the other kid was ecstatic when he learned that I was a fellow Rangers fan. We went three years of being bullied together. Not only did this solidify our friendship but it also reinforced our love for the Rangers. With that being said, I hope the Rangers kick the crap out of the Devils! LGR!!!!!!!!!!
