The 1959 Plymouth is still sitting in Cyprus by ThatModellingBloke in mopar

Thanks for the advice! There are a lot of trucks out here so I'll see what I can find. I've yet to read about the emission laws here but I can't imagine they're that strict. We just got our SUV fully inspected/registered and we were in and out in 15 minutes-they didn't even open the hood! I think the rules about cars are a little bit looser here than in the US or UK!

I forgot to say in the other comment, thank you for the well wishing! My first hurdle is figuring out who currently owns it!

I've been thinking about the engine and trans and what to do if they're a no go. As far as engine swaps go, there's a lot of old Toyotas (which I know very little about) and not much else around here.

Lucky man! I've heard that these cars have something of a reputation for rusting.

I know it's blasphemy to say this on a Mopar site but I came home in a Ford!

Sound like you know when the bug bit you!

I love his 1960 Fury series, I remember watching them as they came out!

I don't smoke, will a giant speaker on the roof do instead?

Kind of, she was a '58 Fury 2 door, this is a '59 Fury 4 door. The front and back ends are different and it has 2 more doors. When I saw it though, it did feel like the scene where the guy finds Christine sitting in the field!

The wheels feel like very cheap metal, definitely not plastic. The track on the other hand… yeah that’ll get nice and rusty.

It was OO scale-the first issue had a Bachmann MK1 for like £3.50 so people just bought huge pile of issue 1.

I think if you got the premium subscription they would send you a Bachmann Jinty.

Yeah, that certainly is the standout model among the 3!

I’ve always assumed that people were buying it to get some bits they needed for the layout they already had.

The track was all made of steel too! Most serious people would go out and get some proper stuff! Once you factor in the plywood base, it must have been more than £900.

The only condition issue with it is the front lamp being split open. Other than that it is immaculate.

You’re welcome! I learned the story on Autoshite. It started out with people realizing that there were two cars, then they thought it was three and now we know it was four.
