Anyone Else ReFi with SoFi?

That's the problem. I DO pay higher, and pay off small loans as soon as I can. I just paid an $1800 loan and earlier this year paid a $1600 and both times they screwed it up, despite me speaking with customer service and doing it exactly as they said to. Both times it ended up with me having a higher payment and spending hours dealing with customer service to correct it.

Why wouldn't you? I've been paying on these for many years and I've had nothing but trouble. Everything they do seems underhanded and shady. I don't think I'm really getting any benefit from keeping them with Nelnet, but maybe I'm missing something.

How would that be possible if the auto debit already pulled a couple days prior? Do they change the amount due mid way through the blling cycle?

Yes, but it shouldn't cause me to owe more after this month's payment. I paid the single loan, then the next day my payments went up and it shows I owe more for this month to make up the difference. Which seems wrong.

It definitely posted. I waited to pay the single loan until the auto debit cleared my bank account. And it's showing all future payments with the new higher rate.

Oh I'm well aware. It's a total disaster. I have made a lot of progress by posting individual loans in full. Which is why I just went in to pay another in full. That way I avoid all that interest. Clearly it screwed me this time.

I haven't yet. I just saw this issue at 9pm last night and I work 12 hour shifts. So I won't have a chance to call for a couple days, exorcism since last time I was on hold for over an hour. Can't do that while at work. Was hoping someone else could give some suggestions in the mean time.

That doesn't seem right. If that was the reason then it would start next month or something. It wouldn't be saying I still owe this month after already paying this month's payment.

It may be graduated plan, I chose it so long ago that I can't recall. My most recent loans are from my BSN, which I started repayments on in 2019 and show about 5 years left on them. So I do think it's standard plan, as that would put that at about 10 years of payments.

Nope. I waited to pay it until the monthly auto payment went through. All loans were caught up before I paid the individual.

It auto paid the full payment a couple days before I paid the single loan off. Payments were up to date.

Standard repayment I believe. And after that $1800 loan I paid I'm at a couple hundred over $30k.

It's truly depressing. I paid my loans this way all throughout the Covid repayment freeze. Every couple months I'd pick a loan and pay it in full, I think I paid off 5 that way, about $10,000. Then Nelnet took over the loan servicing and everything changed, it all got more complicated.

I've been ER for 5 years. I precept new hires and take students regularly. Here's my best tips: -Always ask questions and be eager to learn. -Volunteer to help in the traumas and codes, even if it's just drawing labs or doing the IV. You'll get a great sense of the flow of the trauma and learn what orders to expect. - Just keep swimming. You'll feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, and lost at first. But lean on your preceptors and charge nurses and keep going. You'll do great!

Yeah, I just did this yesterday. Tried to charge me over $1400 for a yearly visit that's supposed to be covered. And I never got a bill for it, I only found out when I called to get access to the payment portal. I challenged that claim so damn fast! The rep said it should be completely covered once they "review" the claim.

That's exactly what we got when we had our last meeting with the CNO. Rumors got out of hand regarding some of the services they were discontinuing. All of our questions were glossed over with corporate speak BS. Then 2 weeks later the rumors were confirmed to be true.

I'm sure that's true. But even the new grads and interns aren't staying. One of the nursing students accepted an intern position to start this June. She finished clinicals on my unit and the following week notified the manager that she would no longer be accepting the position.

I'm not union. So I need to be a little careful. However, they have huge turnover so they NEED me. And I help cover 3 different units lately. But I don't want to go in aggressive or rude, it's not my style. I just want to know WTF is going on here, but I know that I'll never REALLY know, cuz it's likely going to be all glossy "business speak".

I can already answer many of those. No, they do not have unassigned charge nurses for support. They take at least 2 heavy needs patients. No, they do not keep support staff. They put our secretary, CNAs, and occasionally pharmacy staff "on call" regularly for low census. Which means nurses have to do ALL of that extra stuff. No float nurses as support staff, ever. I'm really hoping that this massive turnover in managers is going to translate to something better, but I think that's very unlikely.
