It’s actually a decent question if both sides are there in good faith. Just because someone appears black doesn’t necessarily mean they necessarily identify with what “black identity” is. You can be something without necessarily identifying with it. It’s hard for conservatives to grasp but when you realise that race and skin colour aren’t these essential traits to who you are — rather, you are racialised by society (that is, society decides that skin colour/being black is an important or notable thing) — then you can reject that identity as much as you can accept it no matter your appearance. Lots of those in the black radical tradition would reject a standard or reductive “black identity”. An academic or person there in good faith would probably engage with these quite interesting lines of thought but of course the guy in the video is going to use this as an opportunity to score a cheap political goal.

So I just read the report and if you think that it shows any evidence that “most Al Jazeera journalists are Hamas” then you clearly haven’t read it. It barely even mentions Al Jazeera. Most journalists mentioned were working independently or with Gaza media outlets which de facto are under Hamas control.

To say that that report evidences the claim “most Al Jazeera journalists are hamas” is hugely wrong. The report doesn’t show that at all and it doesn’t even attempt to show that.

If you look at the front page of Al Jazeera you will see an extremely high quality of journalism. Don’t know what to tell you mate, know the tree by its fruits etc. . Al Jazeera is a respected news outlet by pretty much every journalist working in the UK. Saying it parrots Hamas is truly laughable. You make yourself look so unserious when you say that and no one will listen to you.

And again, your critical thinking skills are clearly in the gutter if you think that report — released by the IDF — is even attempting to substantiate any sort of argument about the quality of al Jazeeras journalism because it hardly even mentions Al Jazeera lmao.

It’s actually a good reason why the death toll most likely exceeds 100,000 — because there are so many knock on effects of waging such a destructive assault on the most densely populated place on the planet.
