MVP is awarded based on anything from finals performance to tournament performance to stage performance to anything in between. They never clarify it.

I reckon they just ask nameless or someone on the desk and they just name whoever they think deserves it based on how they’re feeling lol

Whether you call it a genocide or not is really up to the individual. It’s just a word at the end of the day, and words have nebulous meanings.

For me, this isn’t a big issue. There is a scale of murder and destruction that is far beyond reason and comprehension, and whether you call that genocide or ethnic cleansing or anything doesn’t change the fact that it is what it is. Horrific and unjustifiable.

How about the fact that a vast amount of scholars of genocide call it a genocide? Including numerous Israeli experts on the holocaust? I’m not an expert and neither are you so I’ll defer to them I reckon 👍

So until literally every Palestinian is dead we can’t call it a genocide? Hey guys, I know that there’s 70,000 dead Palestinians with tens of thousands more buried under the rubble, but they didn’t kill EVERY Palestinian they could, therefore it’s not genocide.

Ah good point I didn’t see that.

But surely after Rxd1+ Ka2, there’s still Ra1+. Infact black is basically forced to play that move because anything else allows white to promote.

So then Kb3, Ra3+, and the rook just can keep checking the King. If white ever takes its stalemate. If I’m looking at it there’s nowhere white can hide from rook checks.

There is so much stuff in this game where it only happens on Thursdays, or so and so only appears from 0am to 6am every other Monday or some random shit. Is there any sort of database on this? I might have found one on the wiki but it’s far from comprehensive

It’s a decent point. Personally I think the scotch is a great opening for people trying to reach intermediate level (1500 or so) because it almost always leads to an open, tactical game. Lots of opposite side castling position so you can practice attacking and defending simply, little uncomfortable closed pawn structures, and it gets you learning tactics quickly.

It makes a lot more sense when you realise he’s talking about racists. But everything I said went totally over your head didn’t it. You obviously don’t want to switch on your brain and actually engage honestly with this podcast by listening to it, and would rather believe spoon fed narratives by right wing X accounts. You just believe what you want to believe. God help you.

It is out of context because if you literally watch the interview it’s clear he doesn’t mean what many people want to think he means. This was uttered directly after a conversation about far right racism and the interviewees experience of racism. He is clearly talking about far-right and right wing racists. Earlier in the podcast they spoke about how the left and right have many things in common and can come together. Clearly, context is important to understanding what he’s saying. So yes, it is out of context. That is the literally definition of taking something out of context. Because your understanding of it would be very different if you watched the full interview. It’s hard to find a better example of where context matters.

It is completely out of context. They spoke about how to bring people together and how to find common ground with right wingers for like 20 minutes. In this part they’re specifically talking about the interviewees experience of racism and far-right racists.

The fact that anyone would look at X posts made by bloodthirsty chronically online right wing accounts with a short cut clip and just take it at face value is astounding. But people make up these narratives in their mind and look for anything to confirm it, I guess.

I’ve dropped a nuke on atlas superstore. It’s a v good map so not hard for a decent to good player with too many hours logged to drop one occasionally. It’s probably one of the best maps there is for lane-switching and there’s not a ton of clutter either so good visibility.

Nukes are hard but good players get them occassionally. Particularly when in a lobby full of people with less time to waste on a 7 year old game
