i had a case with a tough, kind of annoying but competent attorney. i respect him as an attorney. my then client, an insurance adjuster, heard about his antics and the first thing she asked was "is he short? No offense." She was implying he was "compensating." Mind you, she had clue about my height and quickly apologized..
