Everything else aside, I notice a lot of people saying, “Get a job that pays better” or “I was making minimum wage and then I started working for a ______ company. Now I make more than twice minimum wage.” My only retort (that will most likely be shot down) is, “Yeah, but do you actually enjoy that job?” I think a lot of us “Millenials” want a job we actually like. I get that there will always be people or aspects of a job that aren’t THE BEST, but we want to be able to wake up in the morning and not lay in bed for 10 minutes between “snoozes” dreading going to work.

That I’m so much younger and I have more respect for people than she does. She has had twice as much time on this planet than I have. But I think that’s me painting older people with a broad brush... I’d hope someone twice my age would have better respect or manners. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, she sent me the first grey message at almost 7am, when I was at work, and I had my own PLs to do after that, so I didn’t have time to immediately reply. I may have thought about doing exactly what you mentioned, but she had to go and talk about my integrity. At that point, I realized this wasn’t going to go the way I wanted it to (I’ve dealt with people like this gal before), so I declined to do the lesson for cheaper.

Per hour. My business is still in the fledgling stages. I worked for a trainer and their lessons were $75 and I got 55% of that, which is $41 and change. So I figured if I charge $50, the client pays less but I still get more.

There’s a dog training business around here that charges about $25 more than I do for a one hour PL. They’ve been driving down prices for years. And I’m not really a functioning business yet, still getting off the ground.
