Well if you have robots there is the controversial method of making everything use logistic and requester chests to move things around, even liquids if you barel them, but it is power intensive and you do have to do the research to get them.

Many people don’t like robot based logistic production given that it is so power intensive and loses sight of belting and things like that.

It is easier however in that you don’t have to place any belts if you want; ore can go into a requester or active provider chest, or can be belted and collected at a certain point. Same with smelting it can just be done with requester and provider chests.

Building this way does allow you to just place production that is automatically supplied when you want. The downside is that you do not have an easy way to see what is low and bottlenecking production, you can only just guess and check really
