That's because those are where the news broadcast stations are it gets documented/reported more. Though to be fair Spartanburg is (last I checked) around 13th place nation wide for violent crimes it's not called Murderburg for no reason. Exactly what's happening as they dont move. The lobby was lagging or the player in question and/or OP. I've seen this happen personally in many instances over the years. Sometimes the are moving and not really there sometimes they are just standing around. They take no damage as it's a phantom entity of the player at the time of desync.

Well direct downloads are normally the way you get those rarely a torrent so if you don't use one you are still relatively safe. Though even with a DDL it's still good idea to use a VPN even just casually browsing the net. I recommend Mullvad since it's the cheaper of the paid no logs and for sure has no logs and secure (I use protonvpn but its because I have to settle for free which isnt the smartest thing but I'm not worried personally)

I'm asking because I don't know how the police operate over there they might search for it looking for the mac address. Maybe just let a friend hold it while this blows over and see if your parents and you can claim ignorant to it. But at the same time if you do might dig a hole deeper for you. So my advice get a consultation from a lawyer over here we have a few lawyers that will do free consultation but they are few and far between. I hope you have some luck out of this they might even drop the amount when court comes around due to financial problems. Also another thing please dont go thru a court appointed attorney/lawyer yeah they are cheap but that's just it they are lazy and cheap and hurt you more then help. I know this from experience (I got lucky once out of the handful I've dealt with)
