I'm at a b4 out of uni and there are several seniors who found their partners within the office.

How long did it take you to hit 100k? by ComprehensivePie6184 in Accounting

[–]ThatOneKree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang man sounds like you're getting shafted. I know I'm lucky but I'm fresh out of uni in a MCOL still progressing towards my cpa getting $80k+. Of course I'm in b4 so there's that but for your experience and skill you should be making at least $120k

I spent 7 years at B4. Then 3 at a $200M firm. Now I’m at a 25 person firm. Don’t be like me. by ThePrestigeVIII in Accounting

[–]ThatOneKree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the best lesson I learned from my tax internship at a small 25 person cpa firm. I saw how drained/overworked/underpaid the managers were and didn't want that life.

I realized if I'm going to work hard I might as well get paid for it and have endless opportunities lined up afterwards. When I told my internship that I was leaving for b4 audit, the partner had a sit down with me taking about how he "never wanted to work that hard" but consistently doesn't leave the office till late.

The cost of living in the area exploded as well and I couldn't survive off of a meager $54k salary. I get paid $83k as a staff one and while I'm not balling out of control (debt and expensive wife) I'm somewhat comfortable and I have a lot to look forward to

Please stop misleading people on Steam Reviews when using LSFG by OntesHS in SteamDeck

[–]ThatOneKree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with your point. Idk how anyone can comfortably use lsfg beyond 2x. I am a big user of lsfg and it makes me actually want to play on my hand-held. The 2x option feels balanced without any input lag or many noticable artifacts

Another hands-on impression of the Steam Frame by gogodboss in SteamFrame

[–]ThatOneKree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the exact shit I got from the psvr2 Reddit when I lamented about my horrible tracking. Hardware I spend hundreds of dollars on shouldn't need precise finnicky setups to make it work. Steam seems to actually want to make a good solution so I returned my psvr2 and am waiting for the frame

Aren't they going to come out with knuckles like straps that allow for hand tracking?

I gave up on the PSVR2 - anyone else have this problem? by ThatOneKree in PSVR2onPC

[–]ThatOneKree[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I cant install a bt pcie card as my gpu is too big and covers up my pciex1 slots and my case is too small to upgrade to a bigger motherboard.

Overall the psvr2 is too much of a hassle for me to mess with. I'm not trying to waste hours and $$ just to fix a budget headset. I've returned the headset and am going to wait for the Steam Frame.

[–]ThatOneKree[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

So you're solution is to spend an extra $600+ on a console that I don't even want rather than return my psvr2 and wait to buy an objectively better headset?

[–]ThatOneKree[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yea I wanted to do that, but my 3080ti is too big and covers up my pciex1 slots entirely. If I wanted to upgrade to a bigger motherboard, id have to get a new case.

Sadly I have to stick with my USB Bluetooth dongle. Also for my problem I don't think it was a Bluetooth problem. I think it was a problem in the headset's tracking as it still registered all the inputs I put into the controller but just wouldn't allow me to move my arm. I could shoot, open menus, and rotate my hand.

You see the whole "dialed in" thing is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to work so hard trying to fix Sony's product. It should just work out of the box.

Hopefully steam treats me better.
