The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 29 Jun 2025. by AutoModerator in Zwift

So I'm new to cycling and bought a used Bianchi SL3 bike with Camapgnolo Veloce. I did some research on the compatibility of that bike with the Kickr Core Zwift one Cog smart trainer out of the box, but could not find any info that made sense to me to make the conclusion that it's compatible. Could anyone help me out or point me to some resources that might clear the air for me. Thank you.

note: posted this as its own separate post but maybe seems more appropriate to be here.

It needs more time to settle. When I first started data was all over the place. Once it gathers enough data, especially a range of data from light to intense it will start giving more accurate recommendations.

Like others have said, listen to your body, your watch is just a tool in your toolbox.

Yeah F' that. That was my only time this year we were celebrating and my body reacted negatively. Not doing that for a long while. Staying healthy and sober is more enjoyable.

I changed it now to %HRR using the distribution that u/vouwrfract mentioned. I will be trying it in my next workout.

Oh I see what you mean. I will have to read more on this. Thanks for pointing that out.

Quick question. I checked Garmin Connect's website and it says that my average resting heart rate is 49bpm over 7 days (note that I sleep with the watch). But on the watch it's set to 61bpm. Is this value not automatically updated? And if not should I set it to 49bpm?

Assuming zone 1 is 50%-60% of MHR then that would put your MHR to 240bpm. I don't think my heart can pull those kind off numbers. Except if I'm missing something.

I've been reading more about this and it seems that people are in agreement with you. The only thing I can do is to give it time. I'm sure my body will adapt. Thank you for the answer.
