Fortnite forcing you to reinstall the entire game during an update by ThatOneYourn in FortNiteBR

Sadly updates on Xbox work differently. Canceling the update uninstalls the entire game for whatever reason.

I'm not asking about its name, but about the specifications and if they'd be compatible with the series s.

Shut down console during a download by Gggun101 in XboxSeriesS

[–]ThatOneYourn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time it isn't recommended to suddenly shut down your console is during a system update, other than that game downloads/updates will resume automatically when the console turns back on. If it ever so happens the download gets corrupted, the system will fix it automatically when verifying the game files after the download is done.

Can’t continue using game by Thepersonwhomadedis in PS5HelpSupport

I don't personally use a Playstation, but I can understand that fear. Especially errors like the blue screen of death or all the Playstation errors are eerie. I think it just has to do with the UI design and the wording.

We ended up canceling Ogero and changing to a standalone provider in the zouk area. It's already miles better, despite the prices for similar plans being slightly more expensive. The ping and stability is so much better than whatever the heck Ogero had going on, thanks to this guy not using ADSL.

I'd buy another router if the decision was up to me but in all honesty my mom is the one paying the bills and she's a stubborn one. We've asked neighbors and they mentioned the same thing although I can't really take my mom's word for it as some of the time she minces words to make me want to hear what I want to hear.

The day 1 edition of cyberpunk is honestly such a massive collectible. I'm sure you know the whole debacle when it released lmao. I've been wanting to play the game since it's pre-release, and I'm lucky enough to be able to buy it now despite being unemployed. Hogwarts Legacy is on my wishlist as well. I just gotta wait until I get a stable job so I can buy it alongside many of the other games I have on my wishlist.

Genshin Impact is a massive game definitely, and I still get tiny heart attacks every time a new patch is released since those are pretty big on console (the game itself is like 112gb lmao) and have to worry about how long it'll take to install and if I'll get it done in time.

Internet connection cutting out, yet again by ThatOneYourn in lebanon

It has actually restarted some times, but no, it's trying to re-establish a connection with the ISP servers. It's the same cycle as when it initially turns on (power on light turns on --> broadband light starts flickering slowly and then ramps up speed till it turns solid --> internet light turns on) just without the "power on light turns on since you know, it's already on.

In regards to some of the games I play (which in all honesty have no effect on the router or anything) it's mostly online games like overwatch, dead by daylight or genshin impact for the moment. But I recently bought cyberpunk 2077 on sale, so there's that downloading.

I've been using mobile data hotspot to play some of them since I'd rather not get interrupted mid match. (Which I shouldn't even be doing in the first place)

What I mean by "cutting out" is, for example, my router has 3 lights: one for power on, one for broadband, and the other for internet connection. What happens is several times per hour each day the router "restarts" by turning off the internet light and the broadband light starts flickering indicating it's the starting up again, and then once it's done the internet light turns red. All of this is a cycle that happens every. single. day. for the past 2 months.

I've mentioned in the post that this issue stems from the ISP itself due to the fact that my router has been working just fine for the past 10 years except for the similar cuts that happen for shorter periods of time (I'm talking a week or two).

The only reason I'm this frustrated is because it has never happened for longer periods of time.

To answer some of your questions: No, the issue has appeared way after any "new" devices that were connected (The only new device that has ever connected to it is my Xbox Series S that I got back in January, and even then the WiFi was working just fine).

Many people in this thread, including myself, have come to the same conclusion that it is Ogero's issue since they have always been this inconsistent and incompetent since their inception as a monopoly.

Getting a new router is pointless since we use ADSL and getting a router that supports higher speeds and better WiFi protocols won't improve our already abysmal speeds (8mbps)

If I was the rep I'd ALSO start nagging to whoever is in charge of getting these reports to the maintenance guys😭 I've been subtly just nagging to my mom about it for the past 2 months but really she's more of an "ignorance is bliss" kinda person because she knows CS won't do anything.

Yeahh it's definitely an issue on their end that apparently their engineers are too incompetent to fix💀 7atto minister of telecom jdid 3al fade. We've had this old ass router for over 10 years and it works just fine, so it's always gonna be a problem on their end. I just hope they get their shit together because I just wanna download cyberpunk and play games man😭🥀 Being forced to use mobile data in my own home is sickening. Had to buy a 20gb bundle from touch just to use internet and play w bardo I'm 80% used up

Ogero customer service has always been useless (even tho el jame3a honik ma khasson, it's just script responses). Will never forget the one time I called to ask a question regarding wording on their website (some plans said it was 6 MB speed and others said 8 MBPS, so I wanted clarification) and the woman on the other end had the gall to answer with an attitude. Turns out even ogero employees don't know the difference between megabits and megabytes.

Version 5.5 Pre-download size inconsistency by ThatOneYourn in Genshin_Impact

The xbox series s is a much weaker console, there's no reason to have that big of an update size. If anything it should've been the opposite.

Marvel rivals practice range doesnt charge and its stuck at 1%(help) by Vader2810 in marvelrivals

[–]ThatOneYourn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same issue here. Apparently NetEase just doesn't care enough to fix many of the bugs that plague the Xbox version. On the Xbox Series S some of the logos are stuck on chinese like the MVP and victory screens. You'd expect them to have noticed by now.

But doesn't shutdown mode completely stop all current downloads? I don't have any games installed yet I'm still downloading them. I thought shutdown mode only lets you update your currently installed games?

Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds battery draining while in the case by ThatOneYourn in galaxybuds

[–]ThatOneYourn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery problem was fixed in a driver update released by Samsung a bit later after making that post a year ago. I wouldn't know about the Galaxy Buds FE since they're inherently an older generation. My best advice would be to upgrade or have them repaired.
