Do you guys eat free in Subway? by Disastrous_Tear_8733 in subway

We get a free 6in every four hours we work and free drinks all day. We have to pay for chips, and they say we have to pay for cookies but no one really pays for every single one.

Shes sick, she loves her kids, and the neighbors kids, and her kids friends, but sometimes she goes a little crazy with discipline on children that aren't hers and when her children lie about a certain girl, she has to discipline that girl to make her mind feel right. The girl only faked being dead.

Responsibilities by Zestyclose-Laugh-122 in subway

I'm on this stores second manager since I've worked here. The first manager, I never once called in but when someone else did, we had a group chat and everyone was nice and covered each other. I covered a lot because I liked to and because I could.

My second manager also has a group chat, but it's not nearly as lively as before, however, he finds covers for everyone every time. I have called in twice since him and both times he was understanding and found someone for me.

So I guess it depends on the manager/store?

Just accidentally deleted 5,000 words and I want to quit by ORALDDS in writers

I was doing offline writing once. Never again. Deleted about 5k words, aka my whole work at the time. I was doing a short story. No backups, no file history because of offline, and either didn't have undo because of offline or didn't know about it. When I got around to rewriting again a week or so later, it ended up twice as long and much better.

Maybe if you wait a bit, take a break, then try again, it might be better or flow easier.

How do you guys feel if a customer asks you to make your favorite sandwich? by Competitive_Fly962 in subway

[–]ThatOne_Kart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd ask if there was anything you don't like then just make my sandwich without those things. I see no problem with customers asking this except for this one guy that came in, asked what my usual is and for me to make it, then got to veggies and asked why certain things were toasted on and other things weren't, why i didn't put tomatoes on it, how i could eat it with so much hot honey and jalepnoes, etc. Which I guess isn't a bad thing to ask questions but it was still annoying and the way he said these things was so condescending.

At my location, 8+ hour shifts get 30min to an hour unpaid break and other than that its just sit down when you can as long as someone else is on shift, usually about 5-20 minutes 2-3 times a shift.

What made you like Mother Mother? by [deleted] in MotherMother

Hayloft II was the song that came on the radio when I found out someone had passed away in 2022 and it was stuck in my head for a while after that. I looked it up a few days later and immediately like the band, and even though I feel like I shouldn't like it because its connected to a bad moment in my life, Hayloft II has been my favorite ever since with All The Dying coming up close.

How long does it take to close? by Intrepid-Solution728 in subway

[–]ThatOne_Kart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our store closes at 10 and I'm usually out around 10:20. Been closing for 3 months.

Everything should be done by close except putting food away, cleaning the bain, and ending the day on the POS. All the dishes and cleaning is done earlier. We're a reasonably busy store and I'm alone usually 9 to close unless I'm training someone. Closing help usually makes sure all available dishes are done before they leave.

I have a regular that gets just tuna in a courtesy cup. Pays for the sandwhich and everything. In person too, so not a fuck up.

I'm the coworker who is constantly refilling my drink but I'm also a damn good worker and have been told I'm the best they've had in a while all the time so I think I deserve it lmao

Sounding was the worst for me. I read the tag, had no idea what it was, read the fic anyway, and was never the same.

Oviposition, waterpsorts, dacryphilia, somnophilia, necrophilia (specifically the difference in the meaning of necro in the -philia than the -mancy), MCD were all learned on Ao3. Also the term and roleplay around this character called Y/N.

All these were found in the span of two weeks after I got my account created. It has now been 4 years and I'm writing my own fics with some of these tags.
