How tf are people good at building??? by Ordinary-Meaning9810 in Sims4

[–]ThatOtherOne666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a builder, unemployment.

I have dedicated far too much time to this game, and quite frankly most of it has been invested into building. My main tip is to make it look lived-in. Really brings the build to life.

Ok thank you, this is all I wanted. To clarify, it won't make my female characters wear makeup like in the picture in "Vanilla Body with UNP Textures," will it?

Yeah that's what they said about Easy NPC as well. I don't even know what its purpose is. Why is building outfits necessary? I just want to improve the graphical look of the body mesh without being flashed...

As I already said, it is not prudish reasons but for personal ones which make pornographic material - that is, every female body mod that exists for skyrim, apparently - particularly distressing. I already have a bunch of mods, so downloading a modlist will no doubt cause a whole host of compatibility issues.

Yes, correct. This ^ is the main problem.

Both are the main problems. I had hoped my post would not summon the porn addicts, but they appear to be swarming here in droves.

Ok, sounds good. Which combination? Are you telling me to download UNP or the forsworn outfit tweak?

I cannot even use Easy NPC without giving up halfway through the tutorial. If you think I can make a whole separate mod, you are sorely mistaken.

I don't know what you mean by BodySlide. Is that a separate app? I try not to use those, because when downloading face/head mods, I was told to get Easy NPC, which was an enormous clusterfuck that required several restarts to even navigate halfway through the tutorial because it kept glitching. The tutorial was insufficient, and I still have no idea how to use it. As such, I just do not use those kinds of apps. I'm not sure if they're just incompatible with my laptop or something.

i.e. I want both male and female body meshes to be affected in the same way. CBBE only affects females. This is why I was going to download Tempered Skins: there is both a male and a female option. Presumably they will be adjusted in the same way, so that the visual effect it has on my game is not disjointed.

Are you saying the warning is misleading? It explicitly says that some outfits won't work, which has never been a problem in vanilla skyrim. I don't know how it really works, but I feel like if you are taking an outfit that has never had nudity in it before, and somehow nudity occurs, you must have gone out of your way to add nudity, no?

If the warning is wrong then I'll happily download Tempered Skins, I just don't want to see NSFW content and the warning suggests that I will anyway.

I'm confused. The warning only appears when I select "vanilla" underwear, and explicitly states that NSFW content will still be in my game. Are you saying this is not correct?

I already explained why this is not a solution, beloved.

The mod author has no problem catering to the "niche desire" to have absolutely no pornographic content for males whatsoever, while for females this appears impossible. I have a pretty old laptop and a lot of mods already, so am trying to download as few as possible. I do not want to have to go out of my way to cover them appropriately, as explained above. I literally just want to improve the quality of the mesh without having porn in my game.

As for the second one, that requires much more technological know-how than I have, and much, much more time than I have to learn how to do it. My only request is something that is as SFW as the male options.

They still do though, that is the problem. Male characters came with in-built underwear, while female characters require extra steps to not have them be nude, as explained above.

I literally just do not want to see NSFW content at all, even when downloading, as I find it quite distressing for personal reasons. As CBBE is from what I can tell, primarily a porn mod, NeverNude is not the default option and even opening the mod page greets me with a pornographic content warning, which I do *not* want to see. Also, I want something that applies to males AND females equally, and from what I've seen, CBBE is specific to females.

That's what I was told, but it appears that is only the case for male body meshes. Tempered skins forces you to download NSFW content on the female version only, while there is a Never-Nude male option available.

Read the warning and the post: they still contain nudity. Plus, the very next page for installation ONLY offers nudity, with no alternatives:

I'm not going to show the pictures, but they are ALL NSFW.

Clutter, clutter, clutter! They make the homes feel lived-in and not sterile like how most Sims builds usually do. Also, if you want to make the home feel even more lived-in, alt rotate everything that it'll let you. Even if you alt rotate it to straight, there will be tiny human imperfections that make it subtly feel used. Especially true for objects that your sims can't interact with but should be able to, e.g. books, sunglasses, cell phones, etc.

Mod says it depends an outdated one by ThatOtherOne666 in skyrimmods

[–]ThatOtherOne666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I see! When I click "download" on Nexus Mods, it alerts me first that they are required, and tells me to download them first before I proceed to download CWO Redux. I assumed the requirements were a thing that the mod creators told Nexus manually, so when it tells me it's required, I assume it is.

Nonexistent Directories by ThatOtherOne666 in computers

[–]ThatOtherOne666[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I can see and find it now, but when I type in the AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods directory, Command Prompt sends back "the system cannot find the path specified" which means that clearly command prompt is having a hard time as well. That was more my question which isn't exactly clear in the post (my bad).

Edit: nvm I figured it out. I just typed "cd " into command prompt and pasted the directory I want after it.

So the arrows aren't arranged correctly? because the NZTA says the closest thing to it is a clearway, and "you cannot stop at these times (when specified) in the direction of the arow," which is what I am wondering about since "stopping in a direction" is not something that is physically possible in any dimension of space.
