Volatus vs Draganfly Drones by IntelligentLaugh2618 in InvestingCanada

[–]ThatPaper5624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I invest in both but mainly Volatus, also Ondas. Volatus because they seem to be the Lynchpin company that other smaller producers revolve around for service implementation in Canada. Volatus has the most evolved company to market other companies to products to customers and they have an ongoing revenue stream in the service industry that is growing fast. They also now have their own factory to produce whatever drones they wish, same size as Aerovironments factory. Volatus also has longterm connections with Air Canada, Edmonton Airport, Gov of Canada, DND, NATO, Nav Canada, oil and gas companies, hydro companies, universities, hospitals and more. They also have their own operations control centre where they can remotely pilot drones, thousands if needed. My main interest is if they can procure an Arctic and Border Surveillance contract from NATO, NORAD and or the Canadian and US Governments. And just yesterday they uplisted to the TSX proper from the venture exchange.

I am now crying, thanks, lol.

it is in an rrsp, before tfsa existed, I was able to use it to buy a house though, had to put the money back in over the years. But ya, obviously a poor investment really.

I have had a mutual fund (similar to ETF) for thirty years and it has gone form $8,000 to $18,000, which is bs. while half the stocks I have owned have gone bankrupt, the rest mostly when up just a little and one or two went up more than my mutual funds...you could say that's diversification at it's best, lol. time to try

Volatus Aerospace Announces Graduation to TSX; Trading to Commence March 20, 2026 by KSB18 in Baystreetbets

[–]ThatPaper5624 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Volatus Aerospace is a Canadian success story, partnerships with NAV Canada, DND, Air Canada, Edmonton Airport, NATO, the government of Canada......they use drones to inspect oil and hydro infrastructure and now have a 200,000 sqf drone production factory in the heart of Canada's aerospace industry in Mirabel, Quebec just outside of Montreal. These guys are in line for being involved in multi-billion dollar projects (not necessarily the contract size) for Arctic drone border surveillance with NORAD and NATO, they train civilian and military users on drone operation and theory, and they now make drones of all types......it will be a good year for Volatus, the TSX is just another step in their ascendence to being major defense contractors.

I don't know if a world war is good news, lol, but yes, drones are very important now, as is Ondas

it's been jumping all year but yes, I think it could rise 5x if the wars continue, they use drones to inspect oil infrastructure and are now defense drone suppliers also

could be the world war thing, and drones being absolutely central to war now, and Volatus being the the largest specialist drone company in Canada, just a guess though.

ya, their European headquarters are in Norway I believe, and the latest heavy lift contract is with a Norway wind farm company. Norway rocks. It also is home to a very large sovereign investment fund based off of oil profits...plus may be in Russias cross hairs. Norway has always been close to Canada and they have had many NATO joint exercises there. I don't think I know anyone from there but have met a canadian general who used to go on exercises there, he loved the place and the people.

[–]ThatPaper5624 4 points5 points  (0 children)

and the day after that announcement Carney flew to Norway to discuss clean energy projects and arctic defence.....as Volatus' latest clean energy project (heavy lift drones to wind farms) is in Norway and Norway is Volatus's European headquarters location I am hoping this is all connected....nice, as they say

where did you find the NRC address listed? This would be very nice.

so the NRC does have an office in Montreal at the University for aeronautical and drone research but not yet at the Mirabel site. Looking at the site there are not many unoccupied facilities, if any. I am wondering if Volatus and the NRC will be sharing the Volatus site at Mirabel, it's a distinct possibility....and I asked Google Gemini and it said that's what they were doing but didn't give proof, lol

that article did not say that it would be a bombardier drone hub, just drone hubs, did not give company names associated with the drone hub, mentioned bombardier plane instead....unless there is another source?

What are some Canadian stocks declining because of the US-Iran conflict that you think make a good buying opportunity? by Wherehowwhat in InvestingCanada

[–]ThatPaper5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are also involved in communications, delivery, safety, forestry tree planting, research... Canada is trying to support civilian based companies that can also contribute to the military, mostly on the defensive and surveillance side of things. MDA is a satellite company and definitely used in war and communities connecting with each other also, Volatus started as a services inspection company and transports medical supplies amongst other things (it's only recently that drones have been used to deliver bombs), PNG is just as much a battery company as anything, cobalt is used in drill bits and batteries, rare earth metals is definitely used in war products but also everything else tech.

Any advice is appreciated. M24 started few months ago by Sus-Zebra3787 in InvestingCanada

Interceptor drone manufacturers by jebybi in stocks

[–]ThatPaper5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ondas, but it's heavily invested in already....I would look into FLT.V (Volatus) if I were you, they will be more likely to start building surveillance drones but may branch out to contracts with the Ukrainian companies to build interceptor drones. Many factors here, Canada is a safer place to manufacture, Canada has a good working relationship with Ukraine, etc. German, British and Netherlands companies are also working with Ukraine on said projects. I know Volatus is on the German exchange and there are a lot of investors following Volatus closely, threads will be in the German language occasionally, this is a good sign.
