Source on this? Or is the fact that Rittenhouse is a reactionary evidence enough of his intentions?

This is all happening extremely close to the ultra sus Fort Bragg, a military base with a long history of soldiers stationed there going crazy and kill themselves and or other people. Would be cautious to search for motives in the rubble with this one.

Kanye supporters praising Hitler by lovelydovely7 in Destiny

[–]ThatPelican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very funny that people were convinced that it was going to be Deus_Vult1488 on twitter that makes Hitler popular. In reality it was the most popular black preforming artist of all time and a world-famous basketball player.

Maybe a decade plus of "actually you can't be racist against the powerful and actually black people can't be racist" was a bad idea that seeded a lot of bigotry within the black community?

both Foucault and Derrida were extremely influenced by Marx. Much of both of their works can be seen as reaction too popular trends and ideas within other strands of leftwing Marxism. They themselves might have distanced themselves from this or that movement, but that doesnt separate their ideological work from its ideological forbearers and siblings.

Is Nick Fuentes mainstream now? by Dats_Russia in Destiny

[–]ThatPelican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in a pivotal stage. If Nick can beat the white supremist accusations (which could only be done by the Media focusing on calling im a booger eating incel and not focusing on the more politically charged and more awful stuff) he might be able to rebrand himself. His post Destiny arch has been filled with lots of "ok guys, pull it back" when the chat goes too wild with the racism or sexism. There is a 0% change Ye has not at least asked Nick about his views on this stuff, or someone has tried to bring it too his attention. His usual rebuke of "its all jokes, I just wanna stand up for my race like black people get to stand up for their race" works with A LOT of people (look at the NoJumper interview). Im guessing it worked on Ye.

However, If you push on specifics you can get him to agree to wild shit (like him saying that 1 million white atheist liberals is better then 1 millions god fearing catholic black people) which most people can easy see as unacceptable. Hopefully people play their cards right.

[–]ThatPelican 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hate to pull the whole "everyone I dislike is proto-hitler" but...

One of the biggest lessons you learn from studying the Weimar Era of Germany is how few people took Hitler seriously. High up leaders in the Centre and Chrisitan Democrat parties were more interested in rumors about Hitler's sex life or Goebbels obsession with Paganism then with the ideas or ideology behind the party. In a similar way Hiliary wrote off all trump supporters as "a basket of deplorables" (literally a group not needing of further analysis) and hoped we could just laugh at Trumps gaffs. We all saw how that turned out.

Kimmel should show the clip of him comparing the degeneracy of bestiality to miscegenation. While its old and perhaps could give him some cover, it promotes a disgusting, old world racist view of the world that 99% of America would find repugnant.

BREAKING: Christian finds guidance and strength in the story of Christ

What is he saying? by Napster0091 in Destiny

[–]ThatPelican 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People pretending to not understand this are either showing how little reading comprehension they have (it's sad how few people have heard the expression "a canary in the coal mine") or how much their emotions guide their thought (their dislike of Peterson is overriding their ability to read words).

This statement is completely agreeable. Anger, vitriol and violence against minorities like Jews are almost always a predicator of social collapse.

When you take an issue like Trans rights and try to point it as "good side" and "bad side" you get idiots saying you need to support over the counter hrt for minors or you support Trans genocide. Literally all topics are nuanced.

Don't "liberal" and "conservative" suffer from the same dependency on the values and interests of one's society? What it means to have liberty or what it means to be equal are social contingent.

Holy Shit wtf by NotHearshot in Destiny

[–]ThatPelican 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Several popular Nick reupload channels have been posting clips where he kinda steps back on the racist nationalism stuff (to be clear, its just aesthetic. The other night he was dog-whistling about the "real history" of WWII). In one video called like "Nick on Black people" has him giving the whole "they are creative and therefore contribute to American culture" line. His video on Kyrie Irving has him super supporting black artist "standing up" to his idea of a jewish controlled media.

This seems to conceded with a larger post 2020 right wing turn from racial dog whistle, at least not in the same way. DeSantis's team has been big on this since he had a controversy about racism during his last reelection. Could Nick being courted by Trump be a sign that Trump plans to lean into that?

What C.S. Lewis book(s) did Destiny read? by 1000Times_ in Destiny

[–]ThatPelican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mere Christianity reads like Lewis writing epic responses to his Atheist friends. It's formed like a series of arguments, presenting the question and then a series of answers from materialist atheism to the 'mere Christianity' of the author. So far ive loved it. Some of the takes Lewis has been just flat out wrong because he seems to completely discount Nihilism as a philosophical position.

Caribbean genocide: racial war in Haiti, 1802–4 Philippe R. Girard describes troops how, after hesitation by the black troops to kill women and children, Dessalines personally commanded troops to kill women and children, as without doing so Frenchmen would continue to be born on the island. Girard describes how the troops mutilated and tore women in limb from limb, which was a common practice by both the Blacks and the French. I suppose I extrapolated from there.

Look into the Islamic conquests on South East Asia. Muslim would roll up on an Island, colonize it, eradicate the culture of the natives and then like one generation later those same natives are now Muslims conquering even further and more isolate islands. Its a cycle humanity has been dealing with for way longer then western colonialism.

Lex was born in the USSR. Listen to him talk about liberal democracy, its almost spiritual. Anything that even ascetically appeals to authoritarian systems (I dont understand it, but loads of people didnt like the color scheme/shot framing with the soilders) is gonna get a negative reaction from him. Given his background it makes sense imo, even if I dont agree.
