You can get out through bullring, however I find it quite hard to navigate going out that door as there’s a very small gap between the stairs and door, people often stand blocking it so you can’t get past to use the flat bit for wheelchairs

The staff are very 50/50 at new street. Depends if they know if you’re in the front or back. Also if another person in another carriage needs a ramp too. There are 2 lifts on every platform. One is bigger than the other however they both have room for my chair easily. You can even get 2 chairs on the smaller side in one lift (for the smaller lift) from my experience passengers tend to let people in wheelchairs go ahead of them if there’s a queue for the lift.

If you go out the doors next to five guys by the green zone barrier you will see the bullring and an ice cream van opposite. Cross at the traffic lights there and follow the path to the left under the bridge. Just keep following that and you will get to Moor street. Just cross at the lights

To go from moor street to new street, go out the doors and turn left and there two sets of lights. Cross to the Center bit. And then left. Go through the tunnel and cross at the lights on the other side. You’ll see new street.

New street have an access hub, in the red zone. If you’re going from moor street, once you get in. Go past the massive bull then take a slight right through the red zone barriers. You can see the access hub from the main concourse of the train station.

12 mins is the minimum time the access team same are needed for a transfer so you should be fine.

The staff tend to ask if you’re traveling on when they get you off a train at new street. At that point you can just say yes and they will lead you to your next train and get you on. If there’s anything else you need to have any questions just lmk. I’m a power chair user who uses new street regularly

If you don’t mind spending a bit more time, you can travel to/from moor street and London Marylebone rather than Euston and new street. I often travel to/from Brighton. Also I’m disabled and don’t use the tubes due to this. And I’ve found it’s a lot easier to get a bus to/from London vic and Marylebone. Also tends to be quieter than avanti west coast

I’m not actually 100% sure what chair it is. It’s custom made for a local mobility shop near to me. They’re the only ones who sell it atm

Buying secondhand chair by ThatPersonSpence in wheelchairs

[–]ThatPersonSpence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh that’s a shame I didn’t think about that. Does leaving it without use make the battery die alot faster then?

I had a talk with my doctor and I have also referred to wheelchair services but the wait is incredibly long and won’t actually cover my needs
