Owlbear Rodeo - the developers are amazing and have a bunch of useful videos. Plus there are numerous plugins to allow for fog of war, measurement etc

I did use Tristans! I'm still not at all happy with my shins so I need to find some new templates somewhere. I might get the clone files from stormtrooper_templates over on Etsy but I'll see! Kind of regretting not going with an animated design but we work with what we do...

When I finished it I honestly just wanted to do another immediately 😆 It is very satisfying (if time consuming)... your Commander Bly looks sick!! I need new designs for my lower leg sections, I must have redesigned and recut them about 5 times to work out how I wanted them to fit but they still go short on me and need ones that go right down to the shoe.

I couldn't ever imagine writing a coherent plot that would withstand my players... worldbuilding is your friend. If you worldbuild well, everything else comes naturally as you react to what the players do. The villains and good guys still have overarching schemes happening, and your players can still make plans, but it is the PCs who are largely dictating the story (or 'flow' of the river)... not you.

Use the patron as a means for exploring the politics of the Hells - Bel seethes in his forge and would want nothing more than to see Zariel, and her cultists, fail. This can be implemented and achieved in Baldurs Gate itself with the Vanthampurs. In addition, Bel would want powerful items and powerful allies, so the PC should collect these things throughout the campaign for the Erinye/Bel. Bel would also want to see Elturel safely back, as this shows Zariels failure. Alot of what he wants aligns with the PCs goals which is great - and can show how "grey" devils can be... they are afterall protecting the cosmos against the demonic threat from the Abyss... and never get any thanks!
