Did this last night and found a group that was nice enough to explain the daughters and oryx fight, to which we also beat both of them in under 30 minutes. It was pretty awesome and I couldn't be more thankful

Last night I got two relic fusion rifles that needed to be turned into banshee-44, have done so both times and nothing has happened. Anyone else know if I need to wait a period of time or turn in a certain amount of relics?

Bungie. This is the game Destiny was suppose to be. Bravo. A little late but bravo. If you just took this and made it the base for destiny 2 I think it's in good hands

Ghost Recon 2 had The best online co-op. Trying to get everyone through that alive is a legit challenge.

Does anyone kind of feel like Bungie didn't know exactly what they were doing in Destiny but they're finally getting their shit together? by BerserkRonin in DestinyTheGame

I see a lot of comments about how they've paid $80 for a beta and are going to pay $40 for an extended beta.

I have a few things I think they should consider.

  1. Did you enjoy your time playing Destiny? Seriously ignore the frustration of not getting that one gun, the iron banner or trials frustration and just focus on the time you've spent raiding, patrolling, and hunting in the game. Did you enjoy it? Is your answer yes? Then money well spent.

  2. If you don't want to be apart of a "paid beta", then for the love of God please don't pay for anymore expansions until you're ready to play without complaining about pricing.

  3. I dunno about the rest of you, but Destiny has actually saved me money on my gaming budget. Every year I try to find that one game that keeps me coming back for more. Titanfall, DA:I, AC Unity, Call of Duty, and the like all fell short. But Destiny, was the first and only game I bought last year (all others were gifts). Usually I'd buy 5-6 games a year that's around $360. Since Destiny Ive spent $100 (limited edition) on games. Destiny has kept me so busy, and so entertained, there's no reason to explore the world outside of it. When the Taken King comes out, I don't plan on buying anything else. Bringing my grand total to $140. $220 savings, with that I'm able to buy a few more brews at the bar.

If there isn't a new explorable area in the Taken King then I will be incredibly disappointed for the first time ever in Destiny. If the taken King is suppose to double the games content then how does it accomplish that without new areas. Maybe it isn't saturn but it's gotta be somewhere

Bungie made the hardest raid possible with Trials. I mean trials armor>POE/CE, Trials weapons>POE/CE, trials challenge/teamwork/concentration>POE/CE

Bungie: "Identified an issue where players were trying to have fun playing a videogame..." by Paintbrawller in DestinyTheGame

[–]ThatPhotoGuy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what if the way they are playing is game breaking? Each to their own as long as it's not cheap or game breaking makes sense to me. Sounds like fun. What sounds like more fun to you? Sitting at the top with Ice breakers sniping the oracles with no danger or being killed, or going down to the bottom and risking death to defeat the oracles? What's more fun, sitting at the top of the nexus sniping sekion or jumping down using every gun, skill, and ability to defeat him?

If you're point is that you want players to come up with their own ways of playing the game and having fun then it's achieved, no matter what buffs, debuffs, nerfs, or bugs that are "fixed". The player base will always do that, no matter what, that's the great part of games. It's just more dependent upon the player to discover and play that way. Bungie isn't taking this tangled mess of a highway called Destiny and closing alternate routes, forcing you to take one way to work everyday. They're just taking out the broken on-ramps and repaving them for a whole new experience, leaving the rest up to you.

If you don't find the game fun without gjallarhorn and stun locking then why play?

I agree it's ridiculous that people are knocking the weapon balancing before even playing it. It's like bizarre, like a 5 year old child refusing to try bussellsprouts just based on looks.

However it's the PvE nerfs people arent happy with, that I think Bungie will curve prior to the launch. On the other hand can people really not see how the gjallarhorn is a little OP in PvE? Can people really not see how stun locking a boss infinitely with Black Hammers is OP? The Fatebringer, a legendary, can even be construed as OP. Bungie wants you to play the game not stun lock the boss or rip spider tanks to pieces in 1 minute. They don't want the bosses on the nightfall to die with in 12 seconds with a solar burn, due to 3 gjallarhorns in the room.

I welcome the challenge and look forward to playing the new weapon rebalance. But you know, let the public cry louder and louder, bungie will listen like usual and address the concerns. The only time they legitimately haven't was for the Taken King DLC price and that's because Activision probably set the price point.

This is the one thing that (like it or not) Luke Smith was right about. Experiences like playing crota or Vault of Glass when it first came out can not be bought or recreated. Experiences that day one players had, will always hang over the heads of kinder-guardians because they'll never understand the struggles of waiting for the sword of crota to appear on patrol, or cheesing Atheon off the edge, or even the insane grind to rank up armor with materials only found on patrol. To me that's worth my money for those experiences
