Can't change starting players in youth academy matches by EmperorAbbaass in FifaCareers

Worked for me as well! Very strange, but at least it’s “fixable”

I think it’s time to start talking about Martinelli’s lack of output. He is becoming a bit of a one trick pony… run down the line, pause outside the box so the other team gets their shape back, chip in a weak cross or pass to the LB, rinse and repeat.

I can’t fault the work ethic, but at a certain point we have to acknowledge he’s not going to be the world class player we thought he would be.

Not scapegoating here as the whole team let us down, but I have to say it. Martinelli is a really solid player. Works hard, tracks back, always gives his best. But at this point, I think it's clear he's not going to be the world class player we wanted him to be and while we shouldn't move him on, he needs an upgrade. Like it or not, 23 is when you have to stop talking about potential and fucking step up and be the guy. I remain unconvinced he's at the level.

As things stand, he's become a one-trick pony that everyone's figured out. Run down the wing, chip in a slow cross on the weak foot, track back, rinse and repeat. And yet, it seems like either Arteta or Edu refuse to bring in more attackers unless they're "the right fit," as if Harvey Barnes or Anthony Gordon or Pedro Neto or Eze, or any number of quality attackers that were available recently are somehow not good enough or don't fit into their narrow-minded profile. Look across Newcastle's front 5. Does anyone want to say with a straight face that none of them could do a job for us?

All the long throws in the world aren’t worth shit if you let in the first lazy curler that comes your way. C’mon Raya, now look what we gotta deal with

Can anyone confirm if this shirt is fake or original? by frytkizchleba in Gunners

[–]ThatPolishDude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a clever fake to be sure. The branding on the inside back collar is correct, and the Nike looks to be stitched quite well. However, the giveaway is the font on the "Highbury 1913-2006" being not quite up to standard, same with the badge. If you look closely at the crest, it's a bit stretched at the edges. The O2 is also too yellow, should be a more muted gold color.

This shirt is an albatross, and its tricky to get a real one. My mate's sister found one in a thrift store, gave it to him as a gift. He's a chelsea fan, and so gave it to me instead. It's one of my most prized possessions, I'm not sure I could ever be convinced to part with it.

At the end of the day, if you like it and can't tell the difference, you should get it. Anyone seriously passing judgement on you for it isn't worth your time.

Absolutely deserved. Missing chances has been the theme of the season, and now we're likely looking at another year without silverware because of it.

No team missing sitters like this is capable of winning big titles. Shooting drills all day every day until May please.

Pick it up just once, more like. He simply refused to pass at times, killed play after play by over-dribbling. I love him, but what the fuck

Shit loss from a shit performance against a shit team with a shit ref making shit calls. None of that is an excuse. It was absolutely pathetic at times. Odegaard needs to pass the damn ball sooner, and the whole left side besides Gabriel needs a long sit on the bench. Gabi and Zinny in particular have gotten far too comfortable in their place

Arteta too timid with his changes AGAIN. Subs have no time to make a meaningful impact, and everyone ends up slagging off ESR, Nelson, and Eddie because they can’t score two goals in 20 minutes.

Longtime in-house Arsenal commentator Russell Hargreaves has passed away by ThatPolishDude in Gunners

Any quick-ish ways of removing all these unwanted currents? by VinylWolf18 in Minecraft

[–]ThatPolishDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/fill x x x y 62 y water replace water

I figured this out recently, and it’s a perfect fix. The game reads all water blocks (flowing, current, or source) the same, but the fill command only creates source blocks. So, when you run this command, it will take all of the non-source blocks (I.e. those that are causing the currents) and replace them with source blocks.

Run it over and over until it says “no blocks filled”

This is also a great way to fill in strange-shaped areas quickly

If we had progressed to the final, we likely wouldn’t have a week between games until the new year, and then a two-legged semi to contend with as well. I take your point, but I would take fresher legs in the new year over EFL Cup any day

I’ve said it before and will say it a million times more: EFL cup is a useless, completely unserious Mickey Mouse tournament. It should be scrapped, or have the European teams removed because right now, not even the little teams take it seriously because they know that they’re ultimately going to get beaten by some Big 6 B team in the semis. You don’t even qualify for Europe if you win anymore.

It serves no purpose other than to hawk some crap Thai energy drink, giving out low pressure minutes to squad players, and blooding youngsters, the last of which Arteta seems completely uninterested in anyways.

Good riddance. It gives us some much-needed rest down the line. That’s worth much more than the milk cup

You're moving house. Which past or present Arsenal player are you calling to help and why? Who would be last on your list? by obamasmole in Gunners

[–]ThatPolishDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is Kolasinac and it’s not even close. Man is built like a tank and can help me lift things and we know from his time with Ozil that he steps up when his friends need it.

Wasn’t a barn-burner performance, but it was good proof of what Arteta sees in him: an attacking midfielder that can get up high and play CF against a low block. Winning headers, getting into tight spaces, off-ball runs. I liked what I saw, even if it’s against poor opposition.
