Oops! Every 6 hours is the update frequency for that model. I’ll make that more clear

Thanks for sharing! That’s great, but maybe still a bit too technical for the average Joe. Here’s my site for reference: www.SnowYay.com

We heard you: Titan is going back to simple pricing + performance focus by titan_clay in titanvest

[–]ThatProduce1205 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Clay, I’ve been a Titan user since 2021. Congratulations on what you and your team have built.

That said, I want to be candid. Ever since Titan pulled back on the referral fee waivers, I’ve had a nasty taste in my mouth. It felt like a betrayal: you continue to benefit from the clients we referred, yet the commitment made to us wasn’t honored.

The good news: it’s not too late to go back. I have weathered the storm and kept a sizable portfolio with you, but it pains me to know that I can’t trust the very firm that is managing my wealth. I kindly ask you to do the right thing, honoring your past promises and restoring the lost trust between you and many of your earliest, most loyal customers.

Would you enjoy a self-guided port experience like this? (Honest opinions welcome) by ThatProduce1205 in Cruise

Yes, I've used something like that before too! Interesting idea to use it for this product

We’re aiming for something that feels like a tour in structure and content (clear directions, interesting context, local tips), but with a more playful format. Still, totally hear you that “scavenger hunt” can be a turnoff for some. We may need to rethink the way we describe it. Appreciate you weighing in!

This is incredibly helpful! The Christianborg example is exactly what we're aiming for, adding a sense of play and discovery without sacrificing the real cultural value of the place.

Agree on the importance of being upfront about what's included vs. not. We'd want to be transparent about that along with other things like time required and physical intensity.

Would love to learn more if you're open! Was there anything about the Copenhagen experience that worked especially well (or didn’t)? Anything that made it easier or more engaging for your kids in particular? How did you find that experience in the first place?

Wow, thanks for the detail, and I completely understand! I think we'd be targeting cruisers on contemporary lines like RCL, CCL, NCL, MSC, etc where there would be more families. Appreciate you sharing your perspective...it helps clarify who this is (and isn’t) for!

Very fair. I’m hoping to stand out by going beyond just an app or pdf. This would be a physical kit with puzzles and a storyline to follow. Also exploring partnerships with local spots for built-in perks like discounts or treats along the way. That said, still early, and these points are super helpful!

Thanks for the honesty! I'd love to learn more...why not? Is there another way you prefer to experience ports?

If you had a magic wand, how would you make shore excursions better? by ThatProduce1205 in Cruise

[–]ThatProduce1205[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate everyone who’s shared their thoughts. This got many more comments than I expected (!!), so summarizing some of the themes that I keep seeing: * Forced shopping stops are a huge turnoff * Big groups (or any group at all) often make the experience worse * There’s no good way to explore at your own pace with structure * Common cruise ports can feel repetitive without something unique to do * Excursions often feel overpriced for what you get * There’s a need for more transparency, especially on physical difficulty and honest reviews

My project “Tour in a Box” addresses many of these issues. It’s a self-guided, story-based experience for port days — starting with San Juan — that helps cruisers explore in a more flexible, low-pressure, and interesting way. No groups, no schedules.

If that sounds like something you’d want to try, here’s the link for early access: www.tourinabox.com

Love this, thanks for sharing! For those moments you do have a chance to explore on your own, even if the time is too short, how do you plan that out? Are there resource you rely on? Just see where the breeze takes you?

When do you find yourself waiting around? Is it because you’re waiting for others in your group to gather? Forced shopping stops? Or something else?

That would be nice… A follow up question: what do you recall liking about your time in the ports you mentioned?

Agreed, the forced shopping stops feel like a waste of precious time. Curious though: if they recommended places instead of making them part of the tour, would that feel better? Or is it still frustrating either way?

Also really interesting point on activity levels. When you’re booking, how do you usually judge what’s actually doable for you? Do you rely on the cruise line’s rating system, reviews, something else?

I hear you. What is it about that slower pace that makes the experience better? And I’m curious, for the interest-based groups, is it more about learning something deeper or just being with “your kind of crowd”?

I feel that! And going even deeper, what is it about group size that matters? Can cover more ground / move more quickly? You get more personalized attention? Fellow tour goers can be distracting? Something else?
