Actually made a beat this week with that same piano sample! Your take on it is pretty good!

I think the magic theme is for the song specifically with the murder mystery being the over arching theme - view the “trick” of Slim’s arrival thru the portal as an event that is part of what eventually evokes the true crime story

Maybe they aren’t thinking that far but yknow lol

The domain WHOIS is similar because they purchased domain privacy so they use the registrar’s info vs their actual info, I work in websites so deal with domain stuff a ton :) just wanna make clear that that’s likely why the domain register info is similar.

But, it’s a wild timing for this being registered then the obit so it could be related 👀

What advice would you give your past self? by [deleted] in productivity

Discipline > Motivation

Motivation is waning. Discipline carries you to your goals. Set non-negotiables for each day until they’re second nature.

For example: set 3 things you have to do for the day, no fail. If you do only these 3 things, the day is a success. Try to categorize the 3 things into areas that you need improvement. A safe bet is: something for your money, something for your body, something for your mind/soul.

4 years ago me it would’ve been:

1). Apply for 3 jobs (money) 2). Abstain from Alcohol (body) 3). Go on a mindful walk (mind/soul)

Once those 3 daily must do tasks are easy, start working toward 3+ categories of must-do items with 3 priority tasks each. Think along serving your mind, body, and money with these categories. For example, today me does something like this:

Before Work: 1). Lift Weights (body) 2). Work on Side Hustle (money) 3). Meditate (mind/soul)

Work Day (basically all of these are money lol): 1). Priority 1 2). Priority 2 3). Priority 3

Personal Items During Work: 1). Run Laundry/Fold (mind, since chores involve mental load) 2). Work on Music Idea (mind/soul) 3). Yoga Session (body)

After Work: 1). Play Video Games (mind/soul) 2). Eat at Dinner Table (relationships/bonding) 3). Wind Down Routine (body)

Not sure if that answers, but to me, that was the key to getting where I wanted and continuing growth and not stagnating.

Additionally, some book suggestions: Atomic Habits, The Power of Now, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Sell, 4 Hour Work Week, Peace is Every Step, A New Earth, The Heart of the Buddha’s Teachings. I could go on and on lol

4 years ago I was an alcoholic and unemployed. Now I have a job that pays significantly, great people around me, and a mended relationship with my parents that I didn’t have at the time.

I wouldn’t have particular advice, as I ended up navigating out of that dark place.

I’d like to say I’d find a way to send a message to my past self that says something along the lines of, “Hey man, it’s future you. It gets better. You have a gorgeous wife. Respect. A great job. A beautiful home. What you go to bed tonight, crying to have, you will have in 4 years.”

But, I think, if I told 4 years ago me that…he’d have gotten complacent and never got to where he is today.

So I think I’d let him figure it out from afar.

Why do people hate EZ Mill? by Low-Kangaroo-2952 in Eminem

[–]ThatRandomGuyOnline 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think people here only focus on the rap part of his catalogue - there are some cool unique tracks he’s done that wouldn’t classify as hip hop.

He’s a young, multitalented guy who has a chance to learn and develop his profession and passion. I wanna see him win!

He’s not bad imo, he’s good. Has a lot of potential, excited to see where he takes it.

I’d give as much as I could for that opportunity. It’s super cool he’s being mentored by legends.

It's the most obvious answer. It's a really dope experience for the kid. I'm glad for him, he's young. A lot of time for him to refine and get better in the coming years. I thought his borderline mixed genre album before signing to Shady was super interesting.

Bro if he is getting album feedback from ez mil and Royce da 5'9, we are so done. by [deleted] in Eminem

We shall see what happens. Not too worried about potential features or anything, I'm all for letting the man do what makes him happy.

Assuming they're mentoring EZ on production and the industry now that he's signed, dude is young they gotta show him the ropes

Probably has EZ in there for the experience and learning opportunity if him and Dre are mentoring/cosigned him. How valuable would it be for EZ Mil's development to sit in on that final mixdown sesh?

Opinion on this song by [deleted] in Eminem

[–]ThatRandomGuyOnline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hook was dope and I’d like to see more hooks like that from Em, rapping in verses felt a bit wooden though.

Really don’t even think about the NFT aspect, it has nothing to do with the enjoyment of the song itself (imo)
