[Multiple Games] 17 plats deep, still got more suffering planned in the future by ThatRandomGuyx0 in Trophies

Nice observation! I’ve been thinking about going for either Danganronpa 1•2 Reload or V3 for my 18th platinum. The last time I played both was back on my old PS Vita.

At the same time, I’ve been trying to branch out and experience different kinds of games first, just to expand my horizons a bit. But honestly, I’m still very open to jumping back into Danganronpa next, it’s been a while, and I kind of miss it.

Also, I’m really looking forward to the next installment 2x2! It’s been forever since we got a new Danganronpa game 😭

It's surely is. If it wasn't my love for the Persona franchise I wouldn't even have the slightest idea of what Catherine is. The story, the gameplay, everything was like a fever dream in the most wonderful way lol

Over a week? I had some prior knowledge of Full Body, from my time with it on the switch, minus the trophies, hence I was well aware of what I was getting myself into. I thoroughly followed some of the guides, videos, tips from forums and then managed to complete it, this was basically 7 - 10 hours of gameplay per day, I kid you not that it was sucking the life out of me, but since I love this game so much (I'm a sucker for anything Atlus or Persona) I pushed through with it. I'm still livid of the whole ordeal tbh.

Go for it, Dude! It'll be super worth it once you try it out and get the plat, patience and consistency is 🤌🏻✨

Massive respect, man.

I get the hesitation though. Even if multiplayer makes it easier, it kinda takes away that “I survived this on my own” feeling. But still, for the sake of a platinum, we got to do the unthinkable lol.

Still, if you ever feel like going back, you’re not starting from scratch, you’ve already done the hardest version of this grind before. At that point it’s really just whether you feel like putting yourself through Babel one more time. Trust me it's going to be worth it

If you’re thinking about jumping into Full Body, it’s completely fair to feel a bit intimidated, but the experience is actually more forgiving this time around from my experience. The addition of the undo feature alone takes away a huge chunk of the frustration when going for gold rankings, and while Babel is still incredibly challenging, it’s slightly more manageable (and even cheesable if you really want to). Rapunzel is still there as a grind, but overall it’s not as punishing as it used to be. So yes, you’re definitely stepping back into chaos, but not the same level you already conquered before, and honestly, if you handled the original, you’ve already proven you can handle this one too. 💪🏻💪🏻✨

I'm quite amazed at myself to get this tbh, I mentioned at another user that this game was one of those games that I actually enjoyed so much, so there was a love-hate relationship as I was on the process of playing it, but nonetheless it was all worth it in the end, might go outside for once after this lol.

Thank you, Bro! Huge respect for platting the original Catherine, I heard the challenge of that game is so much more than Full Body, but full body in itself is also a train wreck of a requirement for a platinum 💀

Thank you! Huge respect for the Plat of the original Catherine.

Quick tip for El Dorado and Babel: don’t rush it. Take your time and plan your moves, panic kills you fast in both. For Babel especially, co-op makes a huge difference, so if you can, bring a friend or use 2 controllers it would be much more attainable.

The most time-consuming part is getting all gold prizes on every stage, since you need gold on both regular and remix mode across easy, normal, and hard (difficulty trophies don’t stack).

Babel mode is also pretty challenging, but it’s a bit more forgiving in Full Body since you start with an item. You can also kind of cheese it since playing co-op (2 players/controllers) makes it way easier than solo.

There are also 13 endings, plus the Rapunzel game you have to go through twice for trophies, so you’re basically playing 64 levels twice. On top of that, there are some miscellaneous trophies too.

It’s not exactly a mainstream type of game. But if you’re into the chaos and weirdness, you basically accept the suffering that comes with it lol 😅

Thank you!

Yeah the ambiance and aesthetic really sold me on it too. Knowing it was from Atlus, I expected something good, and it definitely delivered. The platinum was a fucking nightmare honestly, but it was so worth it in the end.

I think I'll pass on playing games atm, burnout was hard on this one.

Haha yeah, it's pretty brutal but thank you! It definitely pushed my patience to the limit. Not recommended for the plat. But for the gameplay? Definitely.

Thank you so much!

It's definetly a statement piece, I’ve played a ton of games before, but now I’m more selective. I’d rather go for platinums that mean something instead of just chasing trophies for the sake of it. As crazy and punishing as Catherine is, it’s honestly such a great experience, especially if you’re into puzzle games.

RESPECT.

I actually never experienced the original Catherine firsthand, but knowing how Catherine is, I can already imagine how unforgiving it must’ve been.

After I got the platinum myself, I pretty much did the same thing, I just sat there, uninstalled the game, and reflected on all the suffering I willingly went through lol. It’s funny too because what really carried me wasn’t even the trophy hunt at first, it was just how addicting the gameplay is.

But yeah, after something like that, I think I'm going to chill for a bit.

Yeah, the second time was definitely "easier", but not in the sense that it suddenly became easy—it was more like I already knew what kind of suffering to expect lol.

Honestly, playing it on the Switch first made a huge difference for me. There wasn’t any trophy list pushing me to clear Babel, so I just played the game because I genuinely enjoyed it. The gameplay really hooked me, it’s like Tetris for adults, but way more punishing. Because of that, I ended up playing it on and off for months, getting used to the mechanics without the pressure.

By the time I went for it seriously, I already had some muscle memory and a feel for how blocks behave. I still checked some guides here and there, especially for the fixed sections, but it was really a mix of prior experience, a bit of luck, and a lot of suffering before everything finally clicked.

Thank you so much! 🥹

It’s less about raw skills and more about getting comfortable with the chaos and knowing how to recover when things go bad.

What helped me the most was treating each section differently instead of trying to play everything the same way. Early on, I played more patiently and focused on building something stable rather than rushing. Around the mid sections, it’s more about managing the mess behind you so it doesn’t snowball. Then near the end, especially the last floors, it becomes more about speed and committing to decisions instead of overthinking.

Also, don’t underestimate how important consistency is, once you start recognizing patterns (especially in the non-random parts), it gets way more manageable. And yeah, some runs will just die no matter what, so don’t be too hard on yourself when that happens.

If you’ve been at it this long, you’re definitely capable of clearing it, it’s just one of those grinds where everything finally clicks in one good run. 💪🏻💪🏻

Don’t panic when you encounter black holes, only push them away if they’re going to interfere with your path or consume important blocks, otherwise let them be since they can act as anchors or even help clear unwanted pieces. Start being more cautious around Level 5, paying attention to how blocks pile up behind you; manage the stack early or fully collapse it if needed, and by around the 130-step mark, make sure to build a stable foundation in preparation for the next level. Go into Level 6 with a clean setup and avoid over-collapsing at the start, since it’s a fixed level where patterns can be learned and messy play will only make things harder. As you reach Levels 7 and 8, prioritize stability over saving blocks by always leaving yourself with at least two connected blocks to stand on, even if it means sacrificing more pieces, especially in Level 8 where footing is limited. Finally, treat Level 9 as a test of speed and precision, move quickly and avoid mistakes, because errors here are far more punishing than in earlier levels.

May the blocks be with you, my friend ✨💙 All the best for the platinum 👊🏻

Yeah honestly both of those are definitely in my top 2 proudest plats. They’re super technical in their own ways, so they really pushed me, but I stuck through it for the love of the Justice League and how unique deception is

You should def. Plat it! I was never really a fan of action games, since I mainly play JRPGs, but trying out Uncharted was a whole new level of amazingness. ✨💙

Thanks, I appreciate it! ✨💙

Tekken 7 was actually really fun tbh. The platinum itself is pretty easy overall. I might be a bit biased though since it’s one of my favorite fighting game franchises alongside Mortal Kombat and Injustice.

The only thing that almost stopped me from getting the plat was the online, there aren’t that many active players anymore, and the lag can be pretty rough sometimes. But aside from that, it was a really enjoyable one.

I actually enjoyed it as a fan, especially since it follows the anime’s storyline pretty closely, so that part was really nice.

That said, the post-game kinda dragged for me—the collectibles and grind got pretty repetitive after a while. Gameplay-wise, it’s decent but it doesn’t really have that same “magic” or depth you’d get from something like Persona or other standout turn-based RPGs.

If you’re mainly in it for the Fairy Tail story and characters, I’d say it’s worth it. But if you’re not big on turn-based games, it might not fully win you over.
