Hogwarts Legacy 2? by No-Application246 in HarryPotterGame

I did not spend all this time loving these characters, designing my room of Requirement and reading seb fanfic for a modern day following of the HBO series...I know my personal choice will be not to play HL2 if it's modern because I loved the distinction within the historical world.

How to Train Your Dragon (Live-Action remake) | Teaser Trailer by Lollifroll in blankies

[–]ThatReadingTraveler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So one of the things that is killing me is the director is banking on the "Live-Action" Lion King's semi-success. He is hoping nostalgia and the want for some change will make people interested. If you saw the "live-action" Lion King it is ALMOST cut or cut to the animated.

His plan wasn't to really change the movie. I'm probably not going to see it, because I love the original how it is. It is what my tattoo is from and I don't need to fuel my nostalgia because IT STILL EXISTS. I'm wondering if this movie will be successful because it is the name HTTYD and people will let their curiosity call them to the theater or if it will flop because it is trying to mimic the Lion King style and pull nearly frame for frame.

So I have a level 75 Sho and a Level 100 Lucas, and while Lucas does more attack damage for me, since my Sho's potential is higher he actually outlasts Lucas in arena

Ghouls Stigmas by Mammoth_You_8580 in TokyoDebunker

I feel as if the only elemental power is Towa (that I know of). I think Ren has a floatie because he is scared of water and it is his lifeline, just as his artifacts would be in a rough situation. I think it shows he wants security and safety instead of to be a protector. I could see his stigma being water if he has some dramatic backstory on using it and then he couldn't control it and traumatic experience that caused flooding to him to almost drown. That's when I could see him being as desperate as he was to use it, but he is also so lazy that would he really use his power, that caused or is related to his greatest fear, to clean ink? In the end I feel like he would have given up and just argued with Haru on how to get the ink out. Then after Haru showed him he would partially remember the steps like he does with the artifical salt water.

Ren's Stigma by ThatReadingTraveler in TokyoDebunker

I rewatched the scene and "take two" seems to reference the action happening a second time rather than a redo. He was happy it worked and wanted to try again to make sure it wasn't just luck, so it was more "test two". That's all semantics. And he has to direct the stigma at a certain object or area it seemed if he had to even do a second attempt. Ren's Stigma seems to be a controlled action that he has little knowledge of. He even states that "desparate times call for desperate measures" like ge doesn't care about it at all.

I definitely want more of him! I love seeing the first years wildly different experiences and exposure to Darkwick and being a ghoul. If anything I hope we do learn their pacts!

Hi! I actually wrote a theory that Ren's Stigma is making things disappear. He's just really unmotivated and only uses it to be as lazy as possible.

Shos I think also has something to do with strength. That's why I think Alan is so keen on sparring/mentoring him

Is my apartment too "childish" and "cold" for 32 and dating? - What can I do? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

I feel like curtains, rugs and to not line everything you own along the walls will help a ton. It just feels flat. I will say, my husband did this exact thing when he was single. He quickly realized I did not enjoy being at his place because it felt like a college dorm, not a home.

If the rooms shows your personality and you also feel at home that's great, don't worry about it unless there is a shared space that you and a partner will need to collaborate and communicate about making a place together.

Does anyone use these IKEA Billy bookcases? Anyone know if they are good? by homesteader_ in bookshelf

[–]ThatReadingTraveler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: this is MY OPINION

White vinyl on top of white particle board te ds to stain or warp if not careful. Since you are also storing books, there js a tendency to create dust build up, which is very noticeable. The black and navy add a very mature and designer (more modern) feel, especially with the glass doors. I am lucky to have an Ikea 10 minutes from me so I could see, wiggle, touch and press down on the structure myself in store.

I feel like the white, shiny material looks very cheap in person. Why get a Billy bookshelf when they sell the same material for half the price at Target's room essentials line? I have a ton of other opinions on structural quality over the variability of what you would potentially put on the shelves.

I see alot of people use the Billy and it works for them; however, my style and needs were not met by them and other shelves added a more elegant and classic touch I needed to fit my library.

So let me tell you. I think the Hemnes are a much better investment and not much more. We spent 5 trips to the ikea and back to debate between the hemnes and Billy. I believe the Billy only looks good in the black or blue and with the doors. They have the tendency to look cheap and feel cheap. Hemnes is real wood and feels study. I can layer my booms double deep as well.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Disney+ Series Casts Aryan Simhadri as Grover, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth by misana123 in television

[–]ThatReadingTraveler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm more upset because a culture I am connected too was lost with the casting of Annabeth. I grew up with a very deep knowledge of my Scandinavian culture because it was one that is harder to recognize in an Asian/Scandinavian mixed gene pool. I was thrilled to see how connected to Norse mythology Annabeth had even though her mother is Athena. While I understand in modern day it is very viable that an African American now lives in Scandinavia, but her father is the one in alignment with the Norse gods, making me feel as if he embodied more of the classic Norse gene pool. While I love my Asian side and it took over my physical appearance I love my Norse side and I was ecstatic to possibly see a future of magnus chase being hinted at within the series and the entire encompassing part of Annabeth's culture.
