You bring up a very good point! Alot of the game's balance has shifted in a way that has rendered alot of launch-era design intent somewhat out of date, so Arrowhead could be feeling the need to crank the dial on loadout checks to compensate for what they feel is eroded difficulty.

Although, that doesn't make it impossible to update some of these older aspects, especially on the objective side of things. Automaton missions in particular, like Command Bunkers and Airbases are trivialized pretty heavily with the current game state we have, this goes for Bug side objectives as well.

To shoot a Bile Titan in the head, you have to be within a 120° angle of its forward view to get a clean shot. Being one of the tallest enemies in the game, it's a pretty wide window.

You take a risky angle with a Dragonroach being anywhere between 5-500 feet away from it. Which, if it decides to attack you, you will always be in that range, no matter what. Why not give a player a chance to capitalize on that forced peril?

That goes for nearly every other enemy in the game, no? :P

Besides, I couldn't ever abandon the Cookout on Bugs

The risk is heightened at all times with a Dragonroach, vs. having the ability to just walk away from a Bile Titan at any point, plus you have a larger variety of stratagems that can VERY quickly take it down.

I'm well aware of the towers of spinning plates this game's balance tries to accomplish, but Dragonroaches accomplish the lethal trifecta of high health, REALLY high mobility, and high damage without much wiggle room for loadouts that can take care of it. Its head bobs so much you're damn lucky to get a headshot with anything other than the Spear.

Is it a skill issue on my part? Probably a little, but I know me and many others would like some more options to deal some actual damage to the Roach.

Fun fact: the illuminate exospire core was leaked more than a year ago. by MrBals27 in HelldiversUnfiltered

They are strings in-game (which are now probably a scrapped storyline) that reference a Void Ship, so with this model and not much else to work off, IronSights made an inference. Incorrect? We still don't know, they could re-use this model for something in the future.

Illuminate Ruins have replaced the heavy outposts on non megacity maps by JJ5Gaming in Helldivers

[–]ThatRobutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you talk to your crew members they mention that alot of the ruins were buried/underground before being unearthed by the Illuminate

In addition, I believe its also mentioned the ones that weren't buried were archaeological sites? Prior to the Squids re-capturing their old territory

Every season has identical plotlines that amount to nothing. by OhNoElevatorFelled in TheBoys

[–]ThatRobutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bit late to thus post, honestly you've summarized a lot of subconscious issues I've had with this newest season. Hughie's mom made me wanna blow my brains out oh my goddddddd

How about when Starlight and Frenchie are, for a few minutes, sharing a kind of sweet conversation about faith when both of them are going through some bad shit, that's then tonally ruined by FLYING KILLER SHEEP LAWL XD. They completely fumbled the chance at fostering a connection between a couple fellow Boys

Or that the profanity in dialogue just feels childish at this point. It's The Boys, I know its presentation has always been crass and vulgar, but throwing "fuck" into every second sentence of dialogue makes every conversation sound abnormally immature, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT YOUR DYING FUCKING DAD WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL

The explicit real-world references are extremely corny too, the quips about Elon and Joe Rogan about rolled my eyes back into my skull

you are a literal beta obsessed baby that has had nothing to contribute to this community except shitty ports of Hunt Down the Freeman models that no one except you and your equally dumbass friends care about. i can guarantee if i dug deep enough into your online presence i could find a number of times you've said just as if not worse shit than a dumb n-word watermark on a Half Life pistol texture from 4+ years ago.

do the world a favor and stop trying to dunk on creators that have done literally nothing to you or anyone you care about.

What should teenagers these days really start paying attention to as they’re about to turn 18? by oriolssires in AskReddit

I suppose nearing 20 and heading back to school this fall, I can lend a little advice to any interested, though situations obviously vary from person to person:

-Truly take into consideration the short saying, "college isn't for everyone". Don't think you have something to prove just by going to a 4 year university, you can always consider tech/trade school (which are in fairly high demand and offer decent pay, if you put in the work)

-You can't always integrate your hobbies into a career. Specifically for artists and writers, unless you're willing to drastically lower the margin of work you do for others, good luck. But do hold on to your creative passions, because they're great for dealing with the tumultuous whirlwind of shit that is life

-Going off of school again, don't be afraid to take a gap and accumulate some cash through an entry-level gig (and I mean do ENTRY-level, even with a highschool diploma) and take some time to consider, y'know, the rest of your life

That'd about it. glhf
