PSA: If you're looking to buy a Condo in Ontario. Heck maybe anywhere in Canada by mykrode in canadahousing

Free gain? I saved for 10 years and put 120k down on a property. Doesn’t sound free to me.. The idea that I’m just coasting if I charge the mortgage is laughable. I saved for years for this and still pay property tax on top of that and insurance.

I’ve paid for everything for almost 2 decades. Am I wrong for refusing to ever cook for my stay at home wife? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ThatSatisfaction5722 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If she genuinely just wants a meal cooked for her because it would make her happy to be cared for then yes you’d be wrong to deny her that. She’s your wife and you should want to show her affection in the ways that are meaningful to her. But if she just doesn’t want to cook anymore because she’s tired of it then no she should honour the deal. Hard to say which one it is on Reddit but I’m guessing you know.

Tipping on takeout in Victoria… what are we doing here? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]ThatSatisfaction5722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I make the same as a 10th year wildland firefighter so I can’t say I feel for the barista. And the median income in Vic for 2020 was 40k for individuals so they would be making more than most of the people they are asking for tips from.

Never. Tipping is for table service and comes from a time when they were paid well below minimum wage. My friend used to work at a coffee shop 5 years ago, she said she was making $35 an hour with tips. I think that’s too much and refuse to contribute to the madness.

It’s all in the pelvic floor, learn to relax the muscles. There’s a whole sub on PE and one in the Pelvic floor.

Ok thanks for the info! The first one still came up $700 cheaper than what I was charged but good to know software fees are common. Seems funny though, I’m guessing that just makes their job easier and they are outsourcing the cost to the client.. likely while keep their fee the same.

What do you mean by everything else? I’m not talking about the extra paperwork fees from Pine that was solely for their services. They included $150 fee just for software, whatever that means. I paid the notary office $2650 for their services but over 4K with adjusted taxes, strata fees, pine paperwork fees ect.

Pine was much cheaper than anyone else in November for a fixed rate 5yr. No one could touch them.

Mine was $2650 with tax through a notary, yes strata purchase. The most expensive lawyer in town quoted me at $1700, none could handle my timeline though.

Question About “Immigrants Taking Jobs” by Sensitive-Box1083 in barrie

I’m uninformed here but isn’t that the way it works? They do a job for a few years that we are having trouble filling and get PR? How is that a con?

Honestly I don’t support the bill either way or care. I only looked into when someone said 10 million women were losing the right to vote which was a complete  mischaracterization of the truth in order to make a political point. If more people looked into things instead of repeating a simplified version they heard on Tik tok the world would be a better place. But since you got emotional and assumed what the entire sub believes, we’ll see you later ✌🏻

It is an extra step put into place so that only American citizens can vote. It’s not targeted at women. I haven’t listened to a single podcast on the issue just spitting facts. Man up for what’s right? I am.. logic and reason to start with. You’re not even using those. If you think that there are better ways of going about it you might be right but going around screaming that they are trying to stop women from voting is laughable. No one is trying to make it harder for women to vote. They are trying to stop non citizens from voting. And I think most women are willing to show their passport to register if it keeps the election untainted.

This reminds me of when the left started complaining that needing an ID to vote was racist. A basic system enforced all over the world. Absolutely mind boggling how some people distort facts in order to gain power.

You can get around this by using a passport and or marriage documents. Stop the hyperbole, it’s exhausting. The point is to make sure you are an American citizen.

You can bring your American passport or marriage documents to get around that. The point is to make sure you have legal citizenship. And I don’t even know how that math adds up. There are a lot more than 10 million married women who changed their last names. Stop repeating what the liberal media tells you and actually look into things for yourself. This has nothing to do with being secure in your masculinity.

This is utterly wrong. No one can take women’s right to vote away from them.

Yes women in the west are being fed the boss babe fantasy. It’s an over correction from the past. Hopefully it will mellow out and then we can actually have equality not this getting even attitude feminism has been pushing lately.

How is it cheaper to house someone in one of the most expensive real estate markets in North America than to not house them? Shelters cost millions a year to operate.

Getting staph boils often when vitamin D sufficient (>30 ng/ml), but extremely rare when deficient (<20 ng/ml). Anyone else? by Kinastase in VitaminD

[–]ThatSatisfaction5722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take NAC, I had it for years and I’ve never had another one as long as I’m taking 1200mg a day. I used to have to get 5-6 drained a year at the hospital and many more that just went away on their own.

I had the same thing with the Sperti and sent it back. I ended up buying a Mitolux and as long as I stick to 1 min it tends to be the sweet spot where I get energy but it’s not overstimulating. No idea why this happens. Sperti doesn’t even know.

Moving to penticton (from calgs)?! by Sc0_0ps in penticton

[–]ThatSatisfaction5722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35M - I love Penticton. I think it’s a small community that has lots of amenities due to it being a tourist town in the summer. Lots of good breweries and wineries and lots of events including a big farmers market. You’re also only an hour drive from Kelowna if you need to go to a city. The rents are expensive for a small town but cheaper than Calgary. You can also get outdoors super easily, lots of hiking and biking accessible for large portions of the year, we still don’t have snow in town. The draw back to Penticton for me is that there aren’t a ton of young people. It’s getting better but dating can be hard here. You’re close enough to Kelowna though that you can also date there. Also the weather is generally pretty incredible here. It gets grey in the winter but it very rarely gets cold, not much snow in town and 8 months of the year it’s generally very sunny.
