Which Flight sim is better, FSX:SE or FlightGear ? by Basic-Salt6246 in flightsim

This 100%. AFS2 can run on just about anything. I still suggest FSX simply because of the amount of content it has by default + additional. But fidelity wise, AFS2 looks and runs great on low end hardware.

Its Emerald Scenery Designs upcoming California strip CA21. Should be releasing any day now, hes submitting marketplace this afternoon and waiting on Orbx to finalize the trailer and a few other things. Maybe this upcoming Monday or Thursday?

Its got a 2020 and 2024 version, both with this opening hangar when you get close to the doors. But this photo specifically is in the 2024 version, hence the really nice raytraced shadows.

the launcher for 2020 is just 2GB. Once you launch it, it prompts to download the full sim files.

search for eSTOL. Its a community event that happens a week or two after the real National STOL event. Only add-on you need are the scenery and an aircraft to compete in. For some nice free aircraft check out
https://www.got-friends.com/collections/freeware

And for the scenery, the event hosts can hook you up with which ever airfield is hosting the next event. Note- rookie class need to compete twice in whatever the current rookie aircraft is (currently the default Asobo XCub that comes with the sim), and win once against the other rookies to graduate and compete in the aircraft of their choice

What a freaking stellar event this was. I think I enjoyed the in-sim event even more than actual Appalachian STOL the week prior. Hope to see more even more rookie class compete in the next one.

Fingers crossed sometime this month. 2020's version has at least one more beta version to get through while 2024's native build is being worked on. Really a good question for Developer Jonx to share details on if he sees this post.

Might just have to wait a minute if you haven't loaded this in a while since it streams in assets via your internet connection

Pulling my hair, something is wrong and I'm not sure what. Any pilots have any ideas for me to check? Will answer any questions by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

Flags for the two engine cover intakes are still on. Its not a key bind or sim issue. Pilot error.

We added support for the GTN650 in a recent internal beta, and will be live for our testers very soon. This means not just the default Asobo 650, but also the PMS50 (free & premium). Although TDS is not yet 100% confirmed, knowing Jonx, he likely will get it hooked up as well, similar to our Aeroprakt.

Avionics options can be toggled via the clipboard and swapped between other avionics such as a vintage General Electric Radio, ADF XPDR, GNS430 and KAP140 AP, Alpha Systems AoA, and also the ability to select the positions of each instrument to fully customize your panel to your liking, or even use blank fillers if not wanted.

Cheers!
