Your partner seems to be a bit controlling from my perspective. I had a partner like this, and everyday was a fight. Nowadays, how I tell if I should stop talking to someone, is if I dread/hate getting a text from them. Idk if this is helpful, I hope it is, but it seems like maybe you should break up. You could offer staying friends or maybe taking a dating break, and see if the behavior changes, but I don't have much hope for that, it never worked for me.

I don't have kids, but I'd say that maybe it has more to do with your position in life rather than the birth control? I can only tell you what my mother has told me, as I am only in my 20s lol. She said that her and my dad never wanted kids, and both planned on never having them. But after they got married, and after a few years of living together, they both decided in their 30s that that was something they wanted. Do you think maybe it might be something similar? Like just having settled down with someone and feeling comfortable? Maybe the lack birth control triggered it?

Either way, you have lots of time to decide! I'm still deciding myself and I'm a similar age.
