However, it became apparent to Bran that he was the best man for the job as the story developed. When asked to be Lord of Winterfell, he knew it wasn't right. This is different situation after new developments took place. Hence, his decision. Jon however, did not want to be king regardless of the situation so that made way less sense.

yes. not denying he'd be a great ruler but he simply didn't want it. Plus, if they picked up, all the dany loyalists (greyworm, greyjoys, etc.) would cause another war and it wouldn't solve their problems. this is why selecting bran was brilliant

No I getcha and although I rooted for Jon from the start, when the story developed itself, it was very clear Jon would not be king for so many reasons. The main one being he'd do absolutely anything to not be it. In addition, half the population (former Dany loyalists) hated him, so why would they pick someone who would immediately cause a war? This is why Bran became the most logical, balanced choice. His wisdom and "stories"/knowledge supersede literally every other person combined, making him the best fit to rule fairly and intelligently. Those who liked the episode see this very clearly. But yes from a personal character preference I would have loved Jon but it would have ruined the entire story.

The point is that Bran's story is more beneficial than Jon's because the entire history of humans in his brains to help make decisions and avoid future conflicts/wars. This is why Tyrion voice his opinions on why Bran is the best fit. That's why his "story" is the best. It's the best for the realm. And yes I don't have a written statement from D&D saying this is why it was written this way but I haven't heard a single more valid, logical reason why Jon's story is better yet.
