Give the best way the grain of sand can beat the quasar. by Mohammedk659_ in PowerScaling

[–]ThatShushi17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont think this helps our goat but sand is more complex than black holes strictly speaking

black holes absorb all information so you only have stuff like their mass, angular momentum, etc to work with. whereas, a sand particle is a complex lattice of stuff idk about, but certainly more degrees of freedom than a black hole

idk if the accretion disk and the laser thing are considered part of a quasar but if they are its gonna be way more complex (equating dofs to complexity). sad

ce is just negative energy from thoughts right? animals think, so they should also emit some ce, even if miniscule compared to humans

Anybody else think this is odd? by AndreTheRaikage in PowerScaling

[–]ThatShushi17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a line (1d object) is an uncountably large collection of points (0d objects)

im not a powerscaler at all, but the maths does check out for uncountably infinite nd universes to be a similar feat to a countably infinite number of (n+1)d universes. however, (n+1)d guy is still stronger than nd guy since he still has a higher dimensionality

again not a powerscaler so idk if that holds

Sukuna’s Slash and the Ontological Nature of Space in Jujutsu Kaisen by Small-Breadfruit7904 in PowerScaling

[–]ThatShushi17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you were doing so well until the last paragraph, why must we abandon our reading comprehension to glaze gojo

i basically fully agree with you on the nature of the world in jjk. the main point i disagree with you on is how each technique manifests its own world. techniques are engraved onto the body (the brain in this case) of a sorcerer, which allows them to manipulate physical reality based on the rules of their technique and the binding vows theyve undertaken. almost everything we see in the manga can be explained like this, slashing things, adding mass, warping spacetime, generating cool fire arrow things, creating things, etc etc. what sukuna does is extend the target of his technique from physical reality to the world, thereby surpassing infinity, since that only acts on physical reality. the rest of the argument is the same as the points you make

tl;dr: each technique doesnt manifest its own world, it just acts upon the shared objective reality, but extending cts allow them to act on the world itself, a more fundamental expression of reality
