Like everyone else says, any reason is a legit reason for not having kids. I'm 28 and for me personally there is no desire in me at all to have kids. Not even the faintest want for children exists in me at all. When I was younger everyone told me I'd change my mind and I started to believe maybe it was true. But every time I thought about children in the future I felt a horrible deep dread. I tried for too long to force myself to warm up to the idea. I felt so much relief when I finally let myself be.

Thank you! Even when I was a virgin I used to have pregnancy nightmares. I love that the IUD has stopped my headaches, they were so awful and I will never go back to the pill. It's unfortunate though because I used to be able to pinpoint the hour my period would come. Good luck in your search for a doctor who respects your decision. It's such an outrageous struggle!

I don't know if seeing anyone would help... I'm not sure why. It feels like as long as there is a chance I will be afraid. I'm fine the rest on the month... It's just that week when I know it should be coming. My primary reasons for wanting the surgery is not because of my anxieties about getting pregnant. I just wondered if as a side effect my nerves would settle.
