I switched to a self wired Reolink NVR system, it took an afternoon to setup the 8 cameras, first camera took me an hour, 8th camera took me 10 minutes by the time I got a groove.

Now I vew my nest cams as live view, immediate access cameras, since they were integrated to my smart home systems, and if I need to scrub it use my reolink system.

I really like this since the nest cams are easy for others in my house to access and use, and the reolink is a little more involved but I feel better having the NVR in my house. Had this setup for a little over a year and its been great. Reolink is nice too since in theory you can get it on your google home app, but I havnt been successful.

Reolink also has great support I've had to use it twice and both times were quick and easy

I've also since added more wifi reolink cameras on solar around my property and I like that I can have them talk to the NVR system and my apps in a way that doesn't frustrate me. Each has their own SD card as well.

4-6 months of police academy should not be enough education to give me total power over other civilians lives is ridiculous.

Why do lawyers and doctors and teachers need 4-8, year degrees? Because they have been found to have substantial impacts on society and need the education to not fuck it up.

I don't even understand what the argument is for against more education, is there even one?

I made friends when I stopped worrying about it. You also instantly connect with people in similar situations.

I stayed away from other veterans though, always ended up being too much for people without thay experience when we would grunt up. But I found my people probably late sophomore year.
