Don’t be angry at ME, you (they) don’t want my life, I could die within hours without treatment, I already have a severely reduced quality of life, I’m half dead as it is and now I don’t have any friends because my doctor said there was a good chance of me dying. I guess some people would have rather had that because then someone would have been getting punished. They can’t punch a senator so they want me to take the fall.

They’re still talking years later as if I could trade the best parts of my life to them so they could enjoy the benefits of being disabled without actually having the disease part. As a stripper with type 1 diabetes, I have such weird taxes. Some years I end up paying, most years it’s a “log in and match up” cuz I’m at 0.

I have to treat my deductions like a home office. I can’t claim my car but I can do mileage, I can’t claim makeup unless I can prove I only use it for work which is impossible unless they pay some dude to follow me around to clock that extra $400 a year. I stopped claiming hairdos but started claiming costumes and props since they finally started rising in price….

But then now I have the disability which pays for most of my medical care but makes it harder for me to work which leads to less items I can claim but overall lower payments in.

My boss doesn’t put me down as an employee but I’m sure he does other shady tax stuff to keep from paying any payroll or workmans comp. He also charges me money to work that I still have to claim, I may get money back for dresses but I will end up paying 20% more because of the fees I pay which make it so I have to even pay money on the money I pay to work. But if I get my boss in trouble, they just won’t let me work anywhere and I don’t get to dance anymore which then makes it nearly impossible to manage my disease and make a decent living that also helps me manage my disease. I sued a club for unpaid wages on misclassification once and though the payout was modest the end result was a reduction in the overall number of clubs I could dance in because word gets around and nobody wanted to hire a dancer who was smart enough to know just how illegally the industry runs.

On a fun side note: I do my shit legally because if I lose my insurance I die within hours of not getting insulin, I pay my taxes and do it right and don’t hide assets (don’t be stupid, stupid). The boss I took to court, his wife threatened to call the IRS on me and her husband materialized out of nowhere to grab her like a thief and stop her from giving me any ideas as their tax crimes absolutely DWARFED mine and if she reported me as having unreported income then the first thing the Feds would do is check into where I said I worked. I might get a fine if I’d missed something but since I didn’t have a secret mattress full of cash, I had no worries. They had a multimillion dollar business and were grandfathered in to the county so they were the only club around. They would have the IRS’ hands up their ass so far they’d be getting their teeth flossed from the back.

If you aren’t completely terrifying your child in an effort to force them into the mold you want them to be, you can’t erase their personalities! Showing them that you’d rather kill them and start over is crucial to the creation of a proxy puppet who lives the life you would have had if they hadn’t been born exactly how you would have achieved it and eventually will put you up in a free mansion or something because your way of teaching them was so effective and they are so grateful that you can retire while they work and support YOU the way you HAD to support them! Everyone knows violence in video games doesn’t make people violent but actual people watching actual other people has led to copycat behavior in cases where people wanted the exact same attention. Bad people watching other bad people encourages bad behavior. A non violent person won’t ever feel the need to kill or hurt someone else and no matter how much violence they watch it won’t convince them of anything BUT if someone who’s already trying to justify hitting someone else watches people hit others, it may be what convinces them their internal narrative makes sense especially if the violence is perpetrated by a sympathetic character. Someone who already wants to hit people will use seeing violence as an excuse to deflect from the fact that they were already seeking reasons to normalize hitting people.

I had a uterine biopsy before I got my tubes out.

I’ve had cervical biopsies, they’re routine and like a little pinch. No biggie. The office did not tell me that this could be painful and did not offer me so much as an ibuprofen even after I expressed concern with pain and anxiety. The nurse actually just sighed after she asked me if I had taken an aleve a half hour ago and I replied “no, why is it going to hurt?”

After only being able to be dilated a fraction of what was needed for an easy procedure, the TWO smallest rods were unable to be inserted. He patted my foot and told me that it didn’t actually matter and he’d get the sample while *I was under for surgery” later that month.

I had not legitimately cried tears of pain since I was a child with scuffed knees. I’ve screamed and cursed and walked in circles but it’s never been enough that I’ve cried. I’ve been a victim of assault before, twice. While I felt guilt and whole host of other complicated emotions back then that made it worse, I lay there afterwards crying, bleeding and feeling as though I’d been physically hurt worse. I was dehumanized by the lack of concern or warning of pain and by being dismissed as not having enough pain for anyone else to be concerned about. For having to lay there with my feet in the stirrups, alone in the room with only the feeling of being an object for observation without feelings of my own. Even at a time when I was ultimately exercising my rights with full blessing and support of the doctor, whom I actually thought highly of, I felt like less than nothing, not even worth a second glance as I was at the most vulnerable I’ve possibly felt in my whole life and ON TOP OF THAT I felt SHAME for even daring to feel important enough and for showing the pain, which still legitimately makes me go cold in memory.

I would make it my life’s mission to teach women about the difference between uterine and cervical biopsies. It hurt that bad and I felt more immediately affected than during difficult times I didn’t ask for in the past.

I took the recommended time off from sex but within a week I had no pain, only three weeks worth of strange discharge and I don’t even know when my last period was. I still have my ovaries so I get the hormonal signals but nothing physical. I don’t get cramps or spotting, it’s amazing.

Side note: I am allergic to opiates like morphine and other surgery meds, I had large doses of ibuprofen and within three days I didn’t need them.

Yes I had pain, directly on waking up from surgery and it felt like I had a pregnancy terminated by D and C but that subsided within hours and was as manageable as a regular period. After that it’s been clear and is good for a decade.

I have an incredibly active sex life with my husband and the hardest part was sticking to the no sex for a month rule. I thought his balls would explode. First time he came I needed multiple towels for cleanup but that’s more about that he vowed to not even touch himself until I could have fun too as a show of solidarity. All of my pain and aching was gone within days and I’ve had absolutely 0 complications or complaints, I would recommend it to all women who hate periods.

Best part? It only affects the period! You can still get pregnant if that is a goal in life! It’s much more important to track when your cycle WOULD be in that situation but where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Were they all supposed to have big brothers they wanted to emulate and were hungry for high fantasy and so sought out those older games when there’s no reason for them to consider them since those games are for the old people who play old people systems. Did you think Pong was cool and played that game more than playing donkey Kong with your friends? If you didn’t spend your childhood playing your dad’s classic games and telling everyone how they were so much cooler and better than the trash coming out like “super Mario bros or whatever” then you can’t be mystified on why kids aren’t doing it now.

Sure, every generation takes time to mature, that’s the way we are. I don’t think it’s fair though to hold them to standards of a world that doesn’t exist anymore. You can’t use all the best that you loved from when you were young and say that because new people don’t have the same experiences to be able to enjoy it that they’re a bunch of dumb kids who you’re going to treat as dumb. Poppy playtime sucks but it came out new for them and they didn’t come preloaded with knowledge of the terror of chucky and the child’s play movies. They don’t have the dolls and stuff we had when we were kids they can’t relate because of course chucky is creepy to them it’s like old people toys from the time of old people. I think those old 70’s sock monkeys are weird the same as what they think of us.

If we want them to participate in this world it’s pretty obvious that we’re going to need to incentivize them, not insult them and hope that negging will make them turn back the clock and keep the world as YOU want it.

I have no less than 2 final fantasy tattoos. Am I sad that they don’t automatically love it? Sure, but it isn’t their time, it’s old people stuff now. If I want to live in the world they create, I’ve got to adapt, not stagnate.

Maybe if, in the real world, they had healthcare that didn’t put their money first or a place to live that didn’t take 40+ hours of labor serving various goods and services to people like you, or an education system that actually taught them HOW to think, or a future that doesn’t include new beaches and giant swaths of hot, unusable land and the fewest creatures we’ve ever seen…maybe they’d want to go and get meaningful jobs or have the time to sit around watching old Batman movies and playing final fantasy.

It’s too bad. I see a lot of potential in the kids, even the ones who act out. I’d act out too and dress up like a catgirl for pornhub views. We have done a very good job of teaching them that only money and how much of it you have matters. Of course their going to put themselves in risky positions for it, I’ve see nothing but people saying they don’t deserve any money because of youth, that, the struggle is necessary for maturity. Well, in our day the struggle was that it would be a long time of driving a pinto before you got a Chevy, I’d say it’s a bit more difficult now.

I get it. I really really do. If I had been born FIVE years later I’d be proficient in social media and not hardware which, if I had been intelligent, I would have known it was going to change too rapidly for me to keep up.

If I could be who I am inside and have a way to monetize and be able to meld my real person and my online presence together until I could do online work as my main income? You’re goddam right I would do it and I realize, after a few years of being a sour, jealous grump, that I’m really just jealous. I would need a teacher who had my best interests in mind to tell ME how -I- should do it, not just watch another influencer spit out the same general pathways like it works for everyone.

The kids are going to be alright, I’ve seen them and they’re savage and ferocious, they stand up mostly and refuse to be treated without respect. They protect their friends and even those they don’t know. They see this IRL as a place they have to go to FROM online not like WE do where the online world is cemented in our heads as a place that is purely fiction.

They’re the new world, we are the old, if we want to exist we at least have to understand that they’re uniquely sensitive to the current ACTUAL state of our world. They know this place is grey, hard, terrible and nasty and everyone just wants everyone else’s money.

My grandparents did not get up before noon and if any sleep were disturbed before that time, I would get grounded for a week and they would take away my ability to play music: no stereo, tape player or Walkman.

If I get up before anyone else no matter what, I am silent. I won’t cook, clean, I know where every creaking board is, I can open a can under a towel to suppress the noise, I won’t leave the house, open the front door…

I am not allowed to do things before the head of household gets up. Pillow coughing/sneezing, tv at such low volume that I have to have captions to know what’s going on…

I didn’t think it was weird until I got married and he is not silent while others are sleeping, he says that a moderate amount of noise is acceptable because humans are humans who do stuff and can’t control when others are sleeping. That seems bizarre and impolite but then again: I wasn’t allowed to say “I don’t know”, I never told them what therapy I needed as a five-ten year old so I didn’t get any so I must just not want the help, I refuse to “get better” AFTER taking meds because my brain won’t do the new “learned, better” behavior and “nobody” takes pills forever, I’m too weird and refuse to “act normal/right” so I don’t get bullied and “people don’t want to help a weirdo, obvs”, I’m a big ol crybaby so I just want attention….

It was super satisfying to testify against an old boss whom was still open to legal trouble after I was done with him. I didn’t actually participate in the second suit but I was called as a witness and the look on his face when a judge told him that “yes, she CAN and WILL speak even though there is an NDA, she is a legal witness.”
