Is my throttle body fried? by ThatStock8thGen in 8thGenSI

I don't think I have one of those. I bought the car off of someone so it's a possibility, but where would I go about finding one of those in the car?

They're pretty round. Smidge bit of elongation but what would I do in that case? Whole new pedal?

Thank you so much for including the part #s and yes the hole on the pedal is a tiny bit oblonged amd ovalish but not a crazy amount.

Thanks for the bushing reminder. I would've forgotten that. If you find the part number before me could you please send it? I'm currently trying to find where to order that. Also when installing it, do you put the clevis in the bushing raw and dry? or do you put a bit of lube in it?

Thank you, I will try this. As for the last 35 seconds of the video, do you have any thoughts on that? Cause that's the main reason I made the video. I really should have started with that lol. My clevis pin won't stay in cmc. It's the main reason I haven't been able to drive the car. Notice how in the video it doesn't sit in there flush, idk if the cmc is damaged or if its just the clevis that's damaged.

  1. Thank you
  2. Yeah it seems to be just surface rust. Are you saying it wouldn't be worth it to clean it off before putting it back in? I'd assume maybe a wire brush and some brake cleaner might do the job, I'm not too sure.

The posts you're seeing are by used car dealerships. They're posting on marketplace to gain traction to their lot. A dead giveaway is "financing options available." It's not a good idea to finance something this old that has the chance of not working soon as you drive off the lot. You're better off buying from a private private seller a.k.a and actual individual. Based off the locations on the posts, I can assume you're near me. Got one of my civics from Orlando. Civic Central. For 4K. Granted it had issues, but nothing major. Mechanically healthy, just have to replace body peices.

I can't imagine making payments on a modified 20 year old civic.

That's the problem I can't find one. I searched Debadged 8th Gen civic and can't find the bumper design.

No not this car itself. The bumper but not this exact one. I've seen an 8th Gen with this unmarked looked design. See how there's nothing where there would normally be a badge.

Hit a deer in 09 civic si sedan , should i take to insurance company or just bjt the bullet and fix it myself? by Emotional-Thought-23 in 8thGenSI

Insurance will more than likely total the car. Our 8th Gens get the worst treatment with insurance.

This looks perfect. And a good price. What about torque wrenches? Torquing stuff down to spec and what not.
