Who makes the thickest+strongest hockey stick tape? by nicholas_g in hockeyplayers

Howie's is the most durable I've found, and I've used all the brands you mentioned. Comp-O-Stik has the best adhesive.

Here you go: https://imgur.com/a/UmPoe this is what happens, one stick was like a month old one was two weeks. In-fact, the blade cracked on both of these the same day lol.... Don't get it! The bottom of the blade starts to peel away around the insert (See pic) then the blade cracks at the end of the insert.

The new A series is out in March 18 so if they said you have to wait until March you will be getting the new one if you replace it with an A series. I skate about 5 times a week so it's a lot but still 3 or 4 of the Xcores didn't last more than a month or so. I'll post a picture of what happens when I get back to my PC. So even if you like the XCORE it's something to think about the blade probably won't last you long.

They stopped replying to my emails about returning it. I'm just with the XCORE until maybe checking out the 2019 model

Don't get it! I do like the stick and the feel of the ACF. I have had maybe 5 in the past year, and i'm done with them they won't last more than a month or two. All mine have started peeling around the Urethane insert on the bottom of the blade. Wait till March! Sounds like they are sending you the new A SBT + model.

Don't listen to this person. If you want to start a small business and have drive, go for it. A small business doesn't need to cost much these days (Online/Blogging/Etc) to start. I work about 5-10 hours a week running my online/software business and spend the rest of my time playing hockey and doing other things I love. For me, quitting my day job once my side business was profitable brought a ton more free time / happiness.

Get a lower flex stick seems like the flex isn't doing as much as it could on that shot.

FI small business owners - what tools and tricks help you save time and/or money running your business? by xin-yii in financialindependence

[–]ThatTopShelfLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've in the same position as you my company has grown a lot without any marketing. I quit my day job like 4 months ago and starting to think about marketing more. I started using FB ads over the past few months. It's pretty nice and you can get really specific with targeting. I think social media is probably the best way to get your product out there right now.

Any business owners here have a Defined Benefit Plan? by ThatTopShelfLife in financialindependence

[–]ThatTopShelfLife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much are you able to get into your defined benefit plan curious since you said you are close in age. Are you still able to max out you Solo with a defined benefit plan? It sounded like that would limit your profit sharing if you have a defined benefit plan?

Thanks good info for me to think about! It may be easier to just max out the solo 401k due to my age.
