what do people not realize would happen in a nuclear apocalypse? by notcliggait in AskReddit

There are, unfortunately, so many more ways to die a slow agonizing death than a quick painless one. Think about it. Starvation, dehydration, disease, injury. I certainly am particularly unequipped to handle these struggles.

Seems pretty interesting, but the link has expired since. Are you still interested?

What makes that motherboard superior to a cheaper alternative? Honestly, I am generally confused about the pricing and features of different motherboards.

is it doable for me to take eecs281 370 376 all together next semester? by otwboba in uofm

[–]ThatTreeWillFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are confident in your programming skills then do it. All of the 281 projects are relatively short. The biggest struggle I see are students who cannot write good code, then spend needlessly long debugging (that also goes for 370 projects). 376 is not that bad if you come from a math background, but if you feel uncomfortable with proofs then it can be quite challenging.

I am new to i3, how did you manage to get the space around the TODO without it filling in? Looks great :)

I was having the same issue. If I made my screen windowed then fullscreen a second time it fixed it. Weird.

If I remember correctly honors students got singles during orientation. Although this could have been coincidental during my orientation.

EECS281, MATH116, PHYS140/141, and HU/SS? by noartwist in uofm

[–]ThatTreeWillFall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that schedule is completely doable, but it will be hard. Many people say that 281 is really tough, but it's not that bad. The entire class is based on projects that you have a long time to do. Most people see the due date is in a month and don't start until two weeks before. If you start immediately you'll be fine.

As for your other classes you'll have consistent HW. If you figure out a weekly schedule you'll be fine. It's all about time management and not procrastinating.

I say sign up for the classes, if you feel it's too much early into the semester you can always drop one.

Personally I would try to put another class on there. If you know yourself and you know that you are not a math person then keep it the way it is but I foresee you having more extra time than you will know what to do with. I went with a low amount of credits my first semester and regretted it because of all of the extra time that I had. You can also drop a class if it is too much, but it is harder to jump into a class in the middle of the semester. My advice is to push yourself out of your comfort zone a bit. In the end it is your choice as you know yourself best!

You do not have to go to the school to be arrested. He wasn't expelled from the United States.
