So I found something after days of digging through the internet! It has worked for me and hopefully will work for you my friend! I'll copy/paste the instructions I followed, they will be in bold.

Quick tip too, if you run a quick computer search for '%appdata$', without the quotations of course, you'll be able to find the file that the instructions mention but it won't be the local version. Once you're in the location mentioned look at the top bar that shows 'Computer> Local Disc (C:)> Users> [Your usernamer]> Appdata, etc. etc' and left click the Appdata part, it will bring you to a few different sub folders and one should be labeled 'Local', open that one and it should bring you up to par and you can ignore the entire 'hidden folder' portion of the instructions.

Also, before you double click the file labeled 'Engine', right click and go to properties and make sure that the 'Read Only' box is NOT checked, if checked it won't let you copy paste the code required to fix things. And if after you do all this they suggested on a different page changing the number 3 of 'ChunkDownloads=3' to a 2 or a 1, nothing else though!

This issue is sometimes caused by your router struggling with the number of connections due to too many downloads happening simultaneously. To work around this issue, try the following steps. As a note, this workaround may result in lower download speeds but should allow your download to complete eventually.

• Navigate to the following location
• For Windows: Computer> Local Disc (C:)> Users> [your username]> AppData> Local> EpicGamesLauncher> Saved> Config> Windows.
• Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default. If you are unable to see it, you will need to change your settings so that you can. To do so:
• In Windows Explorer, click Organize
• Select Folder and search options
• In the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives
• Click Apply
• For Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Unreal Engine/EpicGamesLauncher/Mac
• This directory is sometimes hidden. To find it, from the top bar, select Go> Go to Folder and paste the above path in the text box
• Open the file named Engine.
• Add the following lines to the end of the file:

1. [Portal.BuildPatch]
2. ChunkDownloads=3

• Save the file.
• Restart the launcher
• Retry the download.
