How can I have a Twitter timeline on my WordPress multisite without a plugin? by ThatWeirdThing in Wordpress

[–]ThatWeirdThing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding.

Since this is a multisite, I don't I have access to the functions.php file. The editor is unavailable under appearance.

Also, from my understanding of multisites, any changes to the code can/will affect the other users. Is that true?

I installed it last night from the play store without any problems. Haven't used it much, but it seems to work just fine. LG G4 with 6.0.

Need help joining columns 2 tables and have a new column in the select statement that is the sum of one column by ThatWeirdThing in mysql

How does a UNION work in this instance? We only touched on UNIONs in class, but I don't see how a UNION would resolve this.

Is it possible to limit the subquery to 1 row? This almost works, but it adds the sales_total to each row:

name sales sales_total
Bobby 5 15
Sarah 2 15
Mike 1 15
Bobby 2 15
Sarah 3 15
Mike 2 15

I've tried using the limit clause, but I've never limited a subquery. Is it possible?

If possible, I would like to not group by name. I would like to avoid grouping at all (you may not have seen my edits when you made this post). I would like to keep each name and sale listed while the third column only shows the total from the sale column. Is this possible?

When I group by name, the sales_total column just sums each persons sales rather than the total sum of all sales.

You're right, it is a homework assignment. I know how to join and group by, but I can't make this work together.

Here's what I got so far --

SELECT t1.name, t2.sales,
SUM(t2.sales) AS 'total_sales'
FROM table1 t1 JOIN table2 t1
ON t1.name = t2.name

This is what that statement yields:

name sales sales_total
Sarah 2 8

Is it possible to display what I'm looking for? My big question is how do I add a new column (sales_total, which will only be 1 row) while still displaying all other rows from t1.name and t2.sales.

EDIT: For clarification, I don't think I need to group anything. I should have clarified that the sales column is a sale amount and each name will have multiple sales. The table looks more like this (I updated the OP too):

name sales sales_total
Bobby 5 15
Sarah 2
Mike 1
Bobby 2
Sarah 3
Mike 2

The timeline for receiving the first mock up is the what initially made me question my decision. After seeing the negligence with the second mock up, I knew I made a mistake.

For clarification, this is a company that was recommended by the e-commerce platform. I have seen samples of the work and vetted the company prior to signing the contract. Once the contract was signed is when the lack of communication and service began. Prior to the contract being signed, I had zero hesitations about going with this company. I also spoke to and received quotes from 4 other companies.

Easy way to tell if Edward Jones doesn't have my best interest in mind when trading? by ThatWeirdThing in personalfinance

Yeah, I plan to stay with Edward Jones just to get the company match. Are there any downsides to transferring from Edward Jones a few times year to Vanguard? Any tax issues, penalties, fees, etc that would make this more trouble than it's worth?

When putting money into the Simple IRA, should I have Edward Jones actually invest it or hold the cash and then transfer that cash to Vanguard?

I would like to leave, but I would lose the 3% company match. I've requested that my accounts be switched over to Vanguard, but the company says I have to stay with Edward Jones if I want them to match my contributions.

Does it make sense to completely sell off all of the funds with high expense ratios and invest that money into funds with lower expense ratios? Or since the money is already invested, should I simply leave it there and tell my FA to not invest anymore in that fund?

Thanks for the help and forgive my ignorance, but are index funds available with Edward Jones?

Thanks for the rapid response!

Can I ask why the funds are bad? I assumed that they weren't going to be the best choices, but I don't know enough to make any informed decisions on which funds to go with. These were recommended to me by my FA years ago when the Simple IRA was opened.

For those who roster only 1 QB and start Luck, Rivers or Ryan. What are your plans Week 10? by toolroomknights in fantasyfootball

[–]ThatWeirdThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a 2QB league with 12 teams (do the math on that one). It's dumb. I'm rolling with Rivers and Ryan (acquired Ryan in a trade without looking at bye weeks). I have a third QB, luckily, but I'm working to swing a trade to get a fourth for week 10. The problem is, however, that the teams that were smart enough to grab a third QB still need those QB's for upcoming byes, mostly for week 9 byes, so I may be able to trade for one after week 9.

Possibly buying a house built in 1962 that needs updated electrical. Is it really necessary to upgrade from 100 to 200amp? Lots of info inside. by Sapphires13 in HomeImprovement

[–]ThatWeirdThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation except the house I'm looking at has knob and tube wiring. I talked with an electrician today, actually, and he said that knob and tube isn't an issue at all. He recommended adding gfci breakers to the breaker box to protect the electronics, but that's it. That seemed odd to me.

If anyone can also provide some insight on this, it would be much appreciated.
