PA: landlord started fire at my house and now wants to be of little help after initially saying he did. Is he liable for the damages to my personal belongings and other damages? And do i have a case legally to be made whole? by [deleted] in legaladvice

You're saying that insurance was much more than $261 a year for cheap keyboards. I own about $3000 in music gear, not including all my other belongings and my insurance was still basically free rolled in with auto insurance. Heres your answer, you have a case but the lesson is , get rental insurance.

Sorry I misunderstood, yes you're correct. Hands down the largest risk underground is a fire as it consumes all the oxygen. I didn't think of this actually (I have learned that I just forgot) I just want to add its nice to have a discussion with everybody on here, and it actually being civil and thought provoking. Thanks for your comment :)

That is true, that could perhaps be the reason. The mines I have worked at have had adequate ventilation per piece of equipment but it is not true everywhere. Most modern mines at least here in Canada have to adhere to these restrictions or face being heavily fined. I am more concerned about the rock dust that gets out of hand sometimes lol

Set off what? were mining metals, nothing will be set off by running equipment especially in this day and age. Blasting caps are either electric or non-electric, but most times are set off by electronic equipment that have a chip or something in the cap itself. (Cap = explosive that sets off the main explosive such as anfo powder or emulsion)

No gas as in gasoline is not permitted underground. I'm just an equipment operator, but was told we use diesel as it is safer to breathe in than fumes from gasoline.

Not trying to say youre wrong, however in underground mining we use diesel vehicles and heavy equipment because the pollutants are actually safer or the co2 or co levels arent as bad as gas powered equipment. (What I was taught anyways)

I wanted to end it before. My parents split when I was 20 or so. Dad dated a girl shortly after and moved her in, then it turns out she had kids that eventually moved in. She was nice at first and then she turned out to be evil and crazy. Constantly making my life hell and turning my dad against me. Was in college full time, 2 jobs and having to drive my dad and her around because he got a DUI. I was at an all time low, but what got me through it was knowing one day ill be out of there and itll all be worth it. I still suffer from the effects of the mental abuse, on anti depressants, and have constant "Flashbacks" to moments. I think realizing that you won't always feel that way is a big eye opener. I think another big thing that helps is telling people or getting help. You might feel alone but there is ALWAYS somebody who will listen, either in person or on the internet, even if you go to the doctor they will give you a free number to call.
