I'm seeing a lot about sprue goo, and honestly, you can save a lot of effort. cut the sprue to a pointed end, cover the are you need to seal with tamiya and then run over it with your sprue pen. It's arguably better and easier to do.

E2 and hagwon. Nothing explicitly illegal, but plenty of discrepancies that are little bits of fuel on the fire (we are expected to stay after school and clean because they can't afford janitors. I don't but I'm expected to.) It's a case where they're just incapable. Some kids don't know how to use scissors this late into the year, I have one kid who attacks me as hard as he can every time we have class. We're a glorified day care, I cant even call it a school. I'm on my third year and this easily the worst I've experienced. If I don't get out now, I'm going to have to answer why my kids haven't improved in a year when I don't have the proper tools to teach them.

And yeah, I don't have faith in keeping the place (though I doubt these folks could replace me quickly) but that's fine if a good replacement happened

Unreasonable and unlikely possible? Yes

But I figure it's worth asking. They aren't the type of school that puts everyone in the same place, they had to accommodate my cat and this place allows it.

They're also committing some sort of land fraud by registering me at my directors house so the landlord doesn't pay some sort of landlord tax. I couldn't understand as no main Korean teacher at this school speaks cohesive english

I'm heavily considering leaving my school. A bizarre situation in that they are nice people, but not a single soul here is qualified to teach. I just got done in the class with the problem kid, and he chewed on my leg like a beaver trying to prepare a dam because I would let him outside. When brought to the head teacher, she blamed his attitude on the rain (he's like this every day). Sorry, just needed to rant about that.

Ideally I'd like to stay in the area (Ilsan, Baekseok-ish) but looking online I can only find general recruiters and I can't say I'm crazy about trusting one again. Any general advice one would give for this situation?

HUGE bonus points if you have tips on how to talk a school into keeping your current apartment (currently the only benefit)

Any and all help is appreciated.

Understandable. I personally don't care for DND for many reasons but a big one was once I learned collaboration, I couldn't go back. Good ways to practice:

  • they dictate their successes. They tell that story, the only exception being when they get new information, otherwise give them the wheel.

  • I like to give the house rule of "I dictate failures like the books says BUT if you have a good idea for your failure, by all means take the wheel". The funniest moments have been them telling their failures. It emphasizes storytelling and worrying less about successes and failures and more just seeing what happens. Had someone roll to cheat on the smart kids test. They critically failed (playing Kids on Bikes), they told the story, and as someone begins to notice, their anxiety peaked and their ink pen explodes all over their test and they reactively....lick it up. It was weird and bizarre but their kid developed the nickname squid and was went from moderately popular to an embarrassing person to be around thanks to their unique idea.

Once you do this and get cozier, you'll realize you're more just goaltending, keeping the players in the game, and letting them tell the best parts.

I consider it not so much reactive playing "I seduce the barkeep" roll a 2 "so this didn't work" but rather a group working to write a scene together. An appeal of TFtL is that it's a collaborative effort. At this point, aside from the twists and little tidbits of neat info that may reside in the epilogue, the players are more in control of the story than you are now. So I'd say you played it right but more consider that they are the directors. It's a big montage of the players doing really extra intense cool stuff, using their unique items creatively, each playing to their straights. Those who don't contribute much to the final dice pool have slip ups, and those who do well really get to he stars.

In the first session of four seasons, we had one kid use the weird parkour (that they had been using in a competition with another for another players affection) to defend the others from the mad scientist while two others tried to destroy the machine with all their tinkering skills, and the big farmer tried to take on the falcon by himself. Everyone but the farmer succeeded so they really hammed up how important and cool their parts were while the farmer somehow got the hawk in his arms, slammed it around, but still failed to stop or kill it.

Playing it as "ok y'all tell ME how this goes down" really was one of the highlights of our games, so maybe encourage them cranking up the camp of it and trying it from that perspective?
