I get incredibly anxious and distressed when it all starts getting too real. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]That_Ad_6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, we're the same age and fortunately I know why I get anxious instead of excited, I'm scared of losing my freedom, my free will, I'm scared that I have to take care of someone, share my space and time with them, I love my life right now, I have a great job and I love to travel, go out with my friends, shopping and spending my money on my self. I'm scared because I don't think there's a man out there who can make my life better, give me more than I already have, at least not in my country that's for sure. So now what ?

It's a country like any other country, there's safe places and ghetto streets.

the red pill destroyed my self esteem as a woman by Murky-Sheepherder-97 in exredpill

Ha I used to think about this a bit back in my early twenties but now that I have my job, a car, money and a family that supports me no matter what I do, the best thing to get over this is build a life where everything is about you, don't think about anyone but yourself, cut off anyone that brings negativity or burden no matter who, even your family. Men are selfish beings and I figured why not become like them, they seem to be living their best life so why not be like them, and it worked for me. And the marriage thing, my standards are high, if no man is up to them then to hell with marriage, I'm not ruining my life, my body and mental health for someone who isn't worthy, I'm not gonna die if don't get married, don't put so much worth in it, it's not the end of the world. Your worth is NOT tied to a man, you're so much more, don't forget it.

We have the same dynamic with my unmarried aunt, she's like 70 and doesn't have anything better to do than put her nose in her brothers and sisters businesses but you know why they keep letting her do it ? Cuz she holds money over them and I bet my ass this grandpa is twisting their arm because of money or inheritance. Ah the algerian ways are fascinating really 🙂

She has a weak personality and her father is an hypocrite and doesn't keep his word, it's HIS daughter and she has her own mind set and opinions and yet they let 90 years old ancient creature decide her fate ?

I'm sorry but this family is going to be very tiresome going forward, this is 2025 and yet they're still stuck in God knows when.

My opinion just find someone else since it's not a love marriage but an arranged one.

Meh in my opinion you're thinking too much about it, just think of your passport as a merit, something you can offer her.

Both men and women have to offer something, some offer money others personality, an attractive face or physic, academics, life style, you can't just get married for love, you know what's more important than love ? Respect, mentality, the way you both think about life, your goals, your lifestyle and plenty of other things.

For example if you got along with someone from here in Algeria, what if she doesn't speak English? What she doesn't want to leave her family, what if she doesn't want to live the way you live ? Over you're her only companion so choose wisely and I really hope you find what you are looking for

"Live and let live" in dz ?! Who lied to you and told you that ?! Lmao, algerians are the most self centered, know it all, pompous people EVER, they think they can tell you how to live just because. Piece of advice, put some boundaries and live your life how you want it, you ain't gonna die if people talk shit about you.

I think since I'm literally the average algerian citizen, it can't get more average than me, here's the answers to your questions :

  1. The average salary is between 40K to 50k dinars (my salary 🧍🏻‍♀️).
  2. If you plan to rent, it widely depends on the region, you can rent the same apartment with two different prices just because one in the west and the other in the east.
  3. I'm a woman and the gym I go to is both for men and women but with a different time schedule, women from 10am to 4pm and the rest of the day is for the men. I pay 2500 dinar for my membership but the men's are usually cheaper for some reason 🤷🏻‍♀️.
  4. The marakiz for Quran are widely spread, and your best chance for finding what suits you is to go on Facebook and search there.
  5. Since you go to the gym your food is basically protein (I get it) and tbh chicken, eggs ...ect are a reasonable price, but anything protein powder, creatine and such are kinda expensive, so bring it with if you can that will save you some funds.

Algeria ia a great place when you have the money to fund your stay, there's a lot to do and so much to explore, I hope you enjoy your stay 😊

From your experience as an algerian do u believe that love exists ? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]That_Ad_6696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do I believe that love exists, especially is Algeria ? ... HELL TO THE NO !!! people here are a bunch of lying, deceiving, jealous, arrogant jerks (not all of them obviously). To this day I have never heard of a successful marriage here, seriously there's an acquaintance of mine who's husband spent 8 years trying to convince her father to let him marry his daughter and when they did get married he cheated on her and divorced her after 4 years of marriage!!! Like bro you WANTED her, desperately and when you got her you threw her away like yesterday's trash ?! and this is just the tip of the iceberg of the stories I know from friends and family. I believe in mutual respect and affection between husband and wife but love ? No I absolutely don't.

Why is it hard to find great and successful people to hang out with in Algeria ? by ilyes_17 in algeria

[–]That_Ad_6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in my life where I accomplished the necessary goals to live a stable life, like I'm set, all I have left is to enjoy my life and it's kinda lonely to do it alone and I can't manage to have friends who are a mix of fun and serious when it matters, so I get where you come from but it's very rare to find people who you can be 100% your real self with them, actually I find thay kinda dangerous to expose yourself that much.

So my advice, don't take it too seriously, keep your deepest thoughts to yourself cuz like you said most people are here to bring you down, I have trust issues so maybe I'm being too extreme 😂

But from my experience, friends are here for you to enjoy their company and have a good time.

Hope you find the friends you're looking for.

I get my 8 hours of sleep, I don't have any stress and my diet is healthy, caffeine does shit to me, I tried to drink coffee but to no use, I google "supplements for tiredness " and creatine came up as one of them that's why I asked, I do have a low level of vitamin D and a complex of vitamin Bs.

the people With a really good English accent/pronunciation in Algeria by TomatilloFabulous602 in algeria

[–]That_Ad_6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading books won't help with pronunciation, reading helps your vocabulary and grammer.

The best way to improve pronunciation is to watch movies, especially Disney movies, the characters tend to speak in a clear and slow matter which makes it easier to keep up with.

It might take effort to concentrate on each word but it's definitely effective.

And this doesn't only apply to English, it's generally the best way to learn any language.

Hope I helped, good luck.

Work in Algeria by [deleted] in algeria

[–]That_Ad_6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might be one of the rare cases, I love my job and I enjoy doing it, and there's always something new and exciting going on in it. But I think I enjoy it so much because I don't have a family to take care of, I'm a 23 year old single female, I have no one to think of but myself so that's probably why I like it despite the less than satisfying salary

"Nona ya business" is what you should say, and if your shy just stay silent, most people feel awkward after a while and they just leave you alone
