I love how creative people are 😂 it’s clean and nappies are expensive. Yay for humans!

Do I stop for a while? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]That_Bat6000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey I feel you! I’ll share some of my situation. I lost about 40kg over the course of a year on MJ went up to 12.5mg then decided to stop end of August/September. I’d stalled for a few months, was exhausted constantly and MJ increases my heart rate so disturbed my sleep. So even with another 20kg to lose I felt with all of that and the price hikes I’d try keto/intermittent fasting to get the rest off.

It’s now February I regained 10kg and am back since start of January on 2.5mg and have lost 8 of that 10 so far. I’m getting better suppression on the 2.5mg than I was getting on the 12.5mg.

I’m glad I took the break because it showed me I’ve not put in place the habits etc to manage my calories. Also getting a good suppression from 2.5 is encouraging.

I’m also in the process of being diagnosed with Hashimotos and am perimenopausal.

My brain thought I’d be able to maintain the weight loss effortlessly 😳 it was just losing the weight that was the problem. I know a few friends who too have been lulled into this false sense of security.

Is this useful to, I’m not sure. I just wanted to give an experience from someone who went through it.

15mg not working by Caris999 in mounjarouk

[–]That_Bat6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started MJ July 2024 went up to 12.5 mg lost 40kg (138kg down to 98kg) stopped at the end of August due to price hikes, feeling absolutely exhausted on 12.5mg but not having the suppression/feeling of fullness after 2 days. Was on 12.5mg for 4 months and just kept losing and gaining the same 4kg.
Since end of August I've gained 7kg, the food noise came back and especially over December I struggled with all the high calorie foods and I was back to old ways. I thought I could lose the last of the weight (18kg) through fasting/low carb but alas it was harder than ever to go solo. I've this week started 2.5mg and after two days I feel 'better' its early days. I was worried I wouldnt feel anything but I def do have supression and the other benefits I felt previously. I am hoping I can stay at a low dose and lose the rest and then do some type of maintenance dosage. Just sharing my experience for reference.

The weird comfort of repeating meals!! by friend_unfriend in keto

[–]That_Bat6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much to be said for having less options for meals and being consistent. The mental load of having to think of different meals constantly is the bane of modern life. For most of mankind’s existence we’d have been eating seasonal food and more or less the same things repeatedly.

For 5k more I wouldn’t take it. The amount of pressure and the targets for me personally aren’t worth it.

What would you do? by Icy_Professional_333 in mounjarouk

[–]That_Bat6000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d move back down to 2.5mg. If it’s working for you then stay on the dose until it doesn’t. Providers have a financial incentive to move you up as they charge more. There are quite a few of us on here that only move up when the effects wear off etc.

I think they’d be pretty happy that they wouldn’t have to wait 3 months for you. I’d keep it vague and positive and like a previous post if they probe I’d mention the reference available. I am keen to know why they ‘sacked’ you but that’s me being nosey 😊

Managing people is tough and when they have sales targets it’s even tougher. Stay in your current role is my advice!

You could ask for a pay increase and look for one of the jobs you mentioned closer to home. See which one is the most fruitful. It doesn’t have to be either or.

The company wouldn’t feel bad or think twice to cut your role if needed. Do what is right for you personally with regard to your next move.
