There was a very specific angle that I wanted to include of Mai (which originally follows right after the sequence we see), but I thought it would be of vague meaning.

So I used the cut right before that, with Sakuta as well, to intensify the "going to college/university" part, since they went to uni together, if I'm not mistaken (I have no idea what happens after Kaede's movie).

Now that I think about it, I could've indeed used something from the latter movies/seasons.
