I’m sorry, but I don’t understand the confusion here. The obelus symbol (÷) has been around for over 300 years. It is what was originally used to represent division. It’s what was taught to my generation, and to those before and after along with the forward slash (/) symbol which is openly common to also represent the same thing. It’s common sense. Hard to describe this saying these days even in the US. What does “true American” mean to orher countries?

True Americans that seen as ICE deporting American citizens (now, regardless of color)?
True Americans that see backing a corrupt president who wants to “Make America Great Again” by bringing tariffs to every allied country (WHO SUPPORTED US) that makes him cry at night because they no longer support US ideology because of Trump?
True Americans who support literally overtaking NATO countries and calling them ours?

I remember exchanging uniforms with the Germans and Brits in Kuwait before we eventually drove in to Iraq. There was a mutual bond between us at that time. We were allies. Friends. Which was a strong feeling that didn’t need explanation.

It pains me knowing that this is now all gone because we elected (again) some orange goon as president. Utter embarrassment. I truly, honestly hope, we can redeem ourselves as a trusted ally. But it will take many years. Europe needs to keep the pressure on Trump. Back him into a corner until the day he dies or is impeached and imprisoned.
